Kriegsmarine E-boat badge 1st pattern

Hey guys,

One of the last of my infamous badges I got in one big lot, a 1st-pattern E-boat badge. This one is very heavy and does not bend, but has really undefined reverse and what looks to be a hole drilled through it to attach a replacement pin. Probably a bad fake, but I thought I would post it anyways.

And the back of the E-boat badge, any opinions on it? This one is of an entirely different material than the other badges, as none of them except a few (BSW ones) seem to be the same material.
