Ingsoc Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I have the ribbon of this award and I'm looking to determine it's value (I was told it's very rare), could anyone help me?
Christian L Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 its a non common decoration for sure - but the value is hard to tell, as there is only a small amount of collectors which are specialiced in these.so my guess for an undamaged one would be between 100.- and 300.- euro (you just need to find the buyer for it who is looking for one - but this might take a little time)hope i was able to help a little christian
Ingsoc Posted June 29, 2006 Author Posted June 29, 2006 I think he wants the value on the ribbon only.Indeed, I was told that the ribbon of my 1870 vicory medal belong to the Oberschleisen Verdeinstkreuz.
Guest Rick Research Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 No, black and white is a generic Prussian patriotic associations 'all sorts" ribbon, just as green and white for Saxony, blue and white for Bavaria and so on. There are thousands of local music, veterans, gardening, et cetera societies that used this type of ribbon for decades.
