Christian Zulus Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 (edited) How to store & present medals + documentsGentlemen, years ago I found a rather proper method to store & present my modest and humble collection of Soviet and Yugoslavian orders, medals and documents.I purchased a 18-piece-set of drawers for a rather high price from a german manufacturer. They are very neat and inside covered with very nice (artificial) red velvet - the colour red has a very special meaning in the culture and history of Russia (and later on in CCCP ). The drawers are made out of plastic and you can take them completly out of the chest of drawers. The problem with ribbons & paper documents is the natural light. So are any solutions to present them in frames hanging on the wall bad solutions - at least for your grand children .Best regards ChristianOne of the chest of drawers: Edited March 19, 2007 by Christian Zulus

Bob Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Looks very nice. I am also used to hiding it in the vault (although by vault is in another country than where I live so typically expensive stuff tends to pile up at home until I have to go to the bank).I myself am looking (for a long time already) for an old entomologist cabinet - rather than store spiders, butterflies, etc. to store medals. One day I'll find that perfect cabinet (preferably not new but antique)
