Guest Rick Research Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Remarkably ODD.1)Per this, the serial number of the old fellow's long service MMM was "134,857" which is a typographical error, since 3.11.44 awards ran in the range of 1,4XX,XXX to 1,8XX,XXX at least. So he's missing a number fom a MILLION+ medal2)There seems no point in having had the 87 year old veteran in to sign off on this--line 12 states the reason for this is that all he ever got was the award document and not the medal (!!!) per 4 year old decision of the Resolution Commission for State Awards in the Ukraine of 18.10.93--it does NOT say that he was GIVEN a medal or duplicate, just that he was entitled to it.3) despite being ENTIRELY done IN the Ukraine, by Ukrainian military officials for a Ukrainian veteranthis document is filled out entirely in RUSSIAN!
