Tiger-pie
This was the last Recruit Graduation Parade to be held at RAAF Base Edinburgh before No.1 Recruit Training Unit moves to RAAF Base Wagga Wagga. The reviewing officer was Air Commodore Mark Skidmore.

Guest Rick Research
That is a most extremely, wondrously BIZARRE way of mounting a tiny device on what looks like part of a chopped off human tongue ahead of all "real" looking awards.

No offense intended but that looks ridiculous. I wouldn't wear if even if its an honor. Someone needs to change it to a real medal or do away with its wear. sambolini
Hi,I have to say that is very odd, I guess it's akin to wearing a normally "non-portable" award?! Kind of like a soldier wearing a letter of commendation or some equivalent. Quite bizarre. Maybe a close comparison might be the WWII Wehrmacht Honor Roll Clasp ( correct me if I'm wrong as WWII is not my primary field of collecting), but it certainly does not look very good worn in this configuration.
