    Oberst F?rstenau's ribbon bar awards were

    1) Saxon Saint Henry Order-Knight (24.8.14 as Major in Sax IR 105:

    Distinguished himself leading the regiment in assaults again and again after the regimental commander was killed. At the head of his troops, despite the fiercest French resistance, he was the first into Schweighausen, Herberg, Walscheid, St. L?on, St. Quirin, Raon l'Etape, and St. Remy. Finally, in attacking St. Benoit at the head of his troops, he lost his left arm.

    He was the first Saint Henry Knight of the war.

    2) Saxon Merit Order-Knight 1st Class with Swords(28.8.15)
    3) Prussian Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 with absurd fantasy nonsense mini device! AAAARGGGGGHHHH! :speechless:
    4) Saxon Albert Order-Knight 1st Class (peacetime)
    5) Saxon XXV Years Long Service Cross
    6) Prussian Hohenzollern House Order 3rd Class with Swords (NOT ON PUBLISHED AWARD ROLLS)
    7) W?rttemberg Order of the Crown-Knight with Lions and Swords (22.12.14) which the this TWICE naughty one armed crazy-man was supposed to have RETURNED when he got the pinback grade in 1915.

    He also is on the rolls of the Saxe-Weimar Order of the White Falcon as receiving a Commander 2nd Class with Swords in 1916 which he is not wearing.
