This OGIII was awarded to a Full Cavalier who was a Guards Senior Sergeant serving as a submachine gunner in a reconnaissance company assigned to a Guards tank brigade in 4th Guards Tank Army when recommended for his OGI. He was a senior sergeant serving as a communications squad leader in a rifle division's DIVARTY when recommended for his OGI.
