    1. Gentlemen, I would welcome comments on the attached items. The Wehrmacht Fuhrerschein is rather worn but belonged to Rudolph Kraatz (born Koln)., s.Kp.II./J.R.G.D. Grossdeutschland - dated December 1940. Is this a fairly common document. This was accompanied by a number of photograhs (c.60-70) a number of which are captioned on the reverse. I thought these maybe of interest. Apologies for the quality of the scans but I had to resize them. In several images the soldiers are wearing what I assume are GD cuff-titles. Photographs date from 1940-c.1944. Derek
    2. I would also appreciate your opinions on this EKI. There appears to be no maker's mark on the reverse. All the best, Derek
    3. Gentlemen, I collect British medals and am largely unfamiliar with Third Reich awards. I would appreciate opinions on the attached Infantry Assault Badge. Is it genuine and can anyone identify the maker? Thanks, Derek
    4. Thanks Doc, Glad it's the real deal. A bit off topic but I enjoyed reading about your Royal Engineers and Indian medals over on the British Medal Forum - I post as 'Del 9'. Very interesting, Derek
    5. Thanks Matthijs, I know nothing about Russian awards - this one was picked up in a market in Zakopane for a couple of pounds some years ago. So it's a WWII award. I'm aware from a number of posts that it's possible to research these using the serial number. Could someone give me some idea how difficult this is, whether it would be possible in this instance and where I'd start. Cheers, Derek
    6. Gentlemen, The Order was picked up in Poland several years ago. I collect British medals - primarily WWI groups to the 9th Bn. Black Watch - and have a very limited knowledge of Russian awards. I've always assumed the Star was a reproduction bearing in mind the large number of dubious items that regularly appear on the market. However, sorting through some cabinets yesterday evening, I thought I'd post some photographs of the said Star and ask your opinion. Any thoughts? Best wishes, Derek
    7. The Egypt Medal awarded to 1300 Pte. Donald McFARLANE, 1st Royal Highlanders, killed in action at Tamaai, 13 March 1884. On pay from 3 July 1882. Attested at Perth. Enlisted by J. G. Simpson. To 2nd Battalion, 8 August 1882. To 1st Battalion, 23 May 1883.
