    5. Some time ago I bought this Offizierskreuz with award document.... Could you please help and tell me where can I find more information about Wilhelm Kronhelm von Nordheim?! Where can I find a picture of of him... Thank you! Best regards, Dejan
    6. And in comparison with the usual box for Officers Cross
    7. Hi! Your opinion please! Recently I bought this box, hoping to fit my Officers Cross ( Offizierskreuz )... When I finally got a box , I noticed that it is too big for my Officers Cross. What do you think, is this a box for RK Officers Cross? Or medal does not fit because it is a different manufacturer? Or it is a box for Merit Order of the Red Cross - Breast Star ( Verdinststern )???
    8. Dear collectors! I would like to hear your opinion on this Long Service Cross: Pictures from the Internet I wonder if this is original cross? If I'm not mistaken Cross for 18 years was awarded between 1867-1890... Usually have decorations from that period such "attachment for tag": Picture from the Internet Is it possible that at that time(1867-1890) produced this decoration in both formats? Thank you! Dejan
    9. bandwurm you are right! I was concentrated just on size, I did not give attention to the inscription on the box… Thanks for the pictures! North Denmark sorry I do not know the manufacturer of my Officer's Cross. Regards djn
    10. Dear collectors! I dare to give you my opinion, despite that I am a young collector and that I never hold in my hands Verdiensstern or its Case/etui... I made this photo in Vienna museum some time ago: If you compare the difference in size in both photos you can see that there is no difference in size between etui from bovec1313 and those from Verdiensstern in the museum. I also believe that it is difficult to identify by needle size, because it was a lot of manufacturers and different sizes… I have in my collection Offizierskreuz which has only 5mm smaller needle than those on North Denmark Verdiensstern With kind regards
    11. Dear collectors, I kindly ask for your help! Could you please tell how to recognize original "Repeat Clasp" (Wiederholungsspange) from copy ??? I recently bought two: The first is magnetic, the second is not... There are no stamps on the back. In collection I have a few of these Repeat Clasps, but none of them is magnetic... Does this mean that the first (magnetic one) is copy? Thanks for your help! Best regards, Dejan
    12. Silver-plated medal ( 1.cl. ) is much rarer than silver... Congratulations!
    13. Hi ! This is my Bosnian medal, unfortunately without box. In my opinion, very well-preserved:
    14. Hi Gentlemans ! If I may… On the picture is a stamp of manufacturer on the right side and the stamp of "noble" metal on the left. Since the law from first January 1867 must have all the precious metals in Austro-Hungary markes -"stamp" , even those intended for gifts. An exception was only thousand products intended for export, but were chased by the IOM''FR''is frei, zollfrei exempt from customs duties. The Act was amended on 1 April 1872, when the addition of a "stamp" to pure material gives a "stamp" of the manufacturer. (The exception is the case of Vienna as''A''in the ring, without the "stamp" of noble - precious metal ) And engravers of medals for bravery: Johann Nepomuk Wirt (1753-1810), Johann W. Harnisch (1785-1826), Johann Josef Daniel Boehm (1794-1865), Konrad Lange (1806-1856), Friedrich Leisek (1839-1914), Josef Tautenhayn (1837-1911) in Heinrich Kautsch (1859-1943) Best regards, Dejan

    20. Dear Gentlemans ! I am a new member and therefore I want to greet you all ! I would also like to commend your forum ! My collection is more modest, so I hope that there is nothing wrong if I start with continuation of this topic. This is my Order of the Iron Crown.
