    1. No disrespect here. Ulanen are horsemen and it is in the spirit of the old Germans to have your faithful mount that shared the same fate buried along with you ( ... or its head on your grave).
    2. Not often seen in photographs, the leather straps of the Kraftfahrer-Lederjacke Perhaps Chip can post an example of these leather straps.
    3. Please have a look at this post:http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/46871-post-your-imperial-german-dog-tags/?p=542621
    4. FAKE TAGS ! This Tag I posted in 2011 is (what I believe now) a fake. Have a look at this one posted at ebay.de: http://www.ebay.de/itm/ERKENNUNGSMARKE-1-WK-Dog-Tag-Forst-Grenadier-/121101773413?pt=Militaria&hash=item1c323a6a65 ....and this one sold on eBay.de about a year ago. These are all fakes made by the same person.
    5. Kragen, Revers und Ärmelaufschlag (collar, lapel and cuffs)
    6. Glenn beat me to it. Here is a pic of WII as a Jg.zu Pferde General
    7. The officer on the left appears to be non other than Willy Rohr himself
    8. ... by 1916, the exception. During the war most Baden soldiers wore the Prussian eagle on their collars. Note the Baden corcade on the visor and the Prussian eagle on the collar
    9. Yes, Baden used the Prussian eagle on the collar buttons
    10. Yes, it is the Erkennungsmarke for Pastor Luck of 98 Reserve Division. During WWI officers often wore a non standard ID tag. Nice find!
