Tinnies General Tinnie Database
benten replied to Nick's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Organisational Membership Badges & Tinnies
This is a really very rare Communist Westdeutsch - sports tinnie 1930! ...... just like the Nazis did later, the Communists (and Socialists) had there sport - Wettk?mpfe........After 1933 when the Nazis raised to power, it was finished with the Communists. With thisCommunist tinnie..... I'm in the camp of the enemy now... Text in the red area.."For the red sport unitity". In those days (the 30ties) you better could not walk around with this badge. Does someone know more about this type of ring? I know the Falange embleM, but is this ring used in Spain or could it be of the blue division, those Spaniards that fought with the Germans in Russia in 1941 . I ?m interested in your opinion. Cheers, Benten [attachmentid=40430]

Robert , imo this badge is Ok . On the rear the material, the copper-plate, is made of a bit crude substance, which is sometimes to see on original badges.........I think that's why the letters and numbers have this appearance, where you had your doubts about. The solderwork and pinsystem are in all details the same as my badge. Cheers, Benten

Hi Kevin, that is what I thought too : "taken from the black enameled part of the DJ- shooting award" . But is that correct? If I see the way of how the pin is attached; it looks mechanical done. I see no traces of something re-done. The little round pin plate is very small, diameter 2,5mm.! So I tend to think it has always been one pin, as Robert mentioned. It could possible that this pin is made in a factory where they also made the" zigrune with rifles" to put on the black enameled part. Thank you for the pictures!

Hi Mike, Thank you for your info..... I understand it and you are correct. I don?t disagree with you at all about that?..and ofcourse the quality of all badges is the same. But I think, the leaf edge badges are much more impressive in appearence then all those who don?t have that . The leaf edges badges are more elabourated ( because they have an extra edge). What I mean is, that you should expect that these impressive edge leaf badges were for the only highest level, reichs level , ?...but they are not. It?s just a thought. Cheers, Benten

Don, thank you for posting " the Blue and the White" ..... the detailed pictures of the blue and white border with extra leaf edge. The badges are really beautiful!! Just a remark..... you should expect that these most elaborated badges should be on top of the hierarchy of these Frauenschaft badges....but they aren't . Thanks, Benten

First of all my compliments with the badges. I see many nice ones. Some I 've never seen before. I'm most interested in the badges with the extra outside leaf edge. I've circeled them. If it possible to make a more detailed picture of them , I'd be grateful. Thank you in advance. Cheers, benten Don, I've posted you picture here .
