Paul thanks for your reply. The left ring is mine. I got it in Germany. It has a German 800 mark inside and a probably Italian stamp on the outside band. Cheers, Benten

Could these rings be from ww2 Abbesinia, local made for the Italians/Germans?Both rings have the initials EV aside. Any info is welcome. Cheers, Benten

Tinnies Goebbels tinnie
benten replied to benten's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Organisational Membership Badges & Tinnies
Thank you Claymore . I wonder if there are more tinnies about Goebbels. Cheers, Benten -
This little tinnie Goebbels Event Gleiwitz 6 June 1934. It is possible that Goebbels minister of propaganda , was there because of the renewed broadcasting station, that was inaugurated. Gleiwitz was a German city close to the Polish border. Nowadays it is Polish territory . There was a faked assualt on this German radio station end august 1939 by the SS ( under Heydrichs leadership), so they could blame the Polish . The ?Polish terrorists? that were dead found there, were in fact German prisonners put in Polish uniforms. The Nazis made propaganda?.. One German reason more to attack Poland September 1939. Nice tinnies Claymore. I like the plastic one too . Interesting to see how The Archer, sign of zodiac, on the Reichsluftschutz tinnie is used as an individual symbolic archer who is shooting on the planes. Belongs this tinnie to a series ? I've looked if I could find someting about the Magdenburg skulpture, but found nothing. Thanks for posting your tinnies . Cheers, Benten -

Claymore, that tinnie I have never had in my hands. Beautiful. It reminds me of the heavy bronzed round tinnie ? 10. J?hrige Wiederkehr des Reichsparteitages Weimar 1926-1936 ? , which also has a standard with the word "Th?ringen" in it above and on the flag part ?Deutschland Erwache?. Cheers, Benten -

Thanks for posting this nice tinnie Claymore. Indeed the left person could be a Stahlhelmbund man , or another ex-Freikorps ? , but perhaps also a NSDAP leader imo. Here a large SA tinnie about 5cm in diameter. A SA man and a wounded SA man. Look at their eyes?you better can?t meet these bad fellows of the 16th Standarte ; infact the difference between the SA and some Wehrmacht tinnies and this one are minimal. The SA men are depicted like they were soldiers. Text; Traditions Treffen der SA Standarte 16 ( Rhein) 1 november 1936. ?Our faith carries us? . Cheers, Benten -

Claymore it is interesting to know that your tinnie is from the time of the Night of the Long Knives.Very nice badge. Perhaps we will find what happened in Greiz at that time. Cheers, Benten -
Thanks for your reply. There is a resemblence. I bought the ring at a military show. The ring could be a private (perhaps military) made signet ring . The ring is old and has a German silvermark 925. Perhaps it?s meant as a lucky sign. Thanks again, you have brought me on new ideas. Cheers, Benten

Are these letters Russian letters? Cyrillic? Possible a logo of two letters. Airforce unit ( see eagle on top)? Perhaps Baltic? Any help is welcome. Cheers, Benten

Hi Claymore, Langensalza Schwefelbad ( sulphur bath). Beautiful tinnie. I also like the edged Artd?co rim with decoration. I red it was a health centre with parc. Here two links with the building on your tinnie. http://www.amprice.de/cgi-bin/item.pl?item=705441 http://www.info-langensalza.de/bad-langensalza/rund003.htm Cheers, Benten -
I don?t know exactly where to post this ring ; I found this ring on a militaria show. It is made of a kind of brass alloy, however it does not corrode; it has no patina. On the ring is depicted Napoleon 3. Is there in the 20th century any relation to Napoleon 3 , concerning politics or military? Cheers, Benten

About the ?M? , I think you are right Claymore. Mitte - Gartenfeld, it is the historic town center ( Altstadt) of Trier. E.H.O. I have no idea , but I ?ll keep it in mind. A nice tinnie , with the wreath and sword, it has simularity with the official SA sportabzeichen . Cheers, Benten -

Hello Claymore, thank you for your information about the Niobe sailing school ship . As you said it is a remberance badge. Here my Sa badge 1934 http://www.glauchau.de/glauchau/content/8/16092003181518.asp Sorry, I don't find it in English . Glaucau is situated under Berlin in Sachsen. You see the Bismarck-turm ( tower) at the left on the tinnie and at the right the dubble castle. Cheers, Benten 18. 2 1934 Fahenweihe , Standarte 415 , Glaucau. -
