Italian Victory Medals
lambert replied to Kev in Deva's topic in Inter-Allied Victory Medals of the Great War
http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/57863-victory-medal-award-documents-in-general/page-3 continue following Italian Victory Medal. Hello Claudio. I know your site. (very informative), my collection is 95% about the WWI and inter-allied medal, WWII and Brazil (the Brazilian Army has fought in Italy in 1944 -45, under the command of the 5th U.S. Army) I had enough time to look for references on this medal unofficial. unfortunately only this forum Obtiva some reference. I have no doubt that it existed, even if it was a very very small amount, in the book of Mr. Costantino Scarpa / Paolo Sézanne Unfortunately Mr. Laslo never knew of her existence. That's what I think. greeting Lambert -
Hello Claudio. Thanks for posting this, I actually knew this kind of medal, the time I posted this in the following VIC Italian, but got no comment ... http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/49858-italian-victory-medals/page-7 #132 - 134 I think this medal could be classified in the category unofficial VIC as in French? WW1 Victory Medals General Discussion
lambert replied to JimZ's topic in Inter-Allied Victory Medals of the Great War
Hi Bill e All I saw the pictures of the medals, rapid analysis ... Some very interesting models Unofficial USA and Japan (made in France), the Ribbons are mostly of British manufacturing (Replacement). There is to certify that the medal Sian is true, not with these photos. Medal of Brazil seems to be OK, but there are no guarantees for now. Best Regards. Lambert -
hi Paul. This is the right model for diploma Army Victory Medal. There is a degree to commemorative War Medal 1915 - 1918 is different. the certificate says "LA MEDAGLIA A RICORDO DELLA GVERRA EVROPEA - MCMXIV - MXMXVIII " (medal victory) both treated as "ricordo" (remembrance) medal. Attestation of commemorative medal: "DECRETA .... È AVTORIZZATO A FREGIARSI DELLA DELLA MEDAGLIA ISTITVITA A RICORDO GVERRA MCMXV - MCMXVIII " Later this law received a stamp, allowing also the Victory Medal, so a Double Degree. Best Regards Lambert photos http://www.medailles1914-1918.fr/italie-commemora.html

Hi Bill, Good to have it back, is a fine example unofficial. Is preferable to have even one British Ribbon, than having horrible modern ribbons. Best Regards Lambert -

Hi Bill. Remember that the Belgian medal, manufactured in France, has the ball slightly larger and thinner wire suspension. --- Recently acquired in France, one vic unofficial French model Charles, maker's is clearly legible. Best Regards Lambert

hello all I agree Jim. I had not seen the suspension of the medal, a really good example, but it is very worn with the Ribbon, the lack of the brooch devalues much .. $ 375 is a lot. Best Lambert -
