These helmets where german made and imported to Sweden but the helmetsplates where swedish. Do you, by any chance, have a chin strap for sale? Looking forward to hearing from you?     5. Dear Gentlemen, Can one tell by the number on the reverse on a GC star from the Victorian order, from which period it is?
    6. Dear Gentlemen, I am interested to know the type and model of this pouch. I have looked at several pouches and I have seen several different types of coat of arms. Can one by looking at the coat of arms determine the age and does de bandolier belong to this pouch. The artillery bandolier that I have seen does not have the detailes with the lions head, chain and monogram. Any information is welcome. Thank you.

    12. I think that the extra holes where there from the start. The stars had to be worn all the time in the erarly 19-century. Maybe the recipient modyfied the star so he could use it on other uniforms.
    13. Thank you for your answers. Could it be that it is made i France? The two hooks on each side of the needle are common on french made stars.
    14. Gentlemen, I have this knight commanders star but it is quite unique. There are small holes on the edges of the star and at the same time there is a needle. The reverse is silvered. On the obverse the star looks like the old cloth type but it is metal. The badge on the star is gilded bronze with enamel. Does anybody know anything about this badge or have any theories. Any information would be valuable. Tank you.
    15. Yes, but not only between countries. Look at the belgien orders, the same order but other designs of the crown. On my medals there are no hallmarks!? Regards, Robert
    16. Ok, then both medals are pre seventies but there are no hallmarks. In many cases the crowns can determine who the maker is becouse they hade individual designs. I am talking now generelly about european makers. Thank you for your input.

Dear gentlemen, The bronze medal of order of Leopold II has on the avers the medallion of the War Cross and not the usual medallion with a Belgian lion rampant encircled by the Belgian motto Strength through Unity in French and Flemish. On the reverse it is not the usual crowned monogram of King Leopold II. So, what is this? Any help is valuable. Thank you
    18. Dear gentlemen, I have two merit medals of the order of Oranje-Nassau but in different sizes. The civil one is 30mm and the military is 27mm and the crowns are different in shape and design. Now to the questions. Why different sizes and can one tell who the maker is on just looking at the crowns? Also from which period are the medals? Any help or information is valuable. Thank you.
