Erich, you know a rabbit is for life, not just for Easter..... Lovely pieces, thanks for sharing them with us. Cheers Don -
It's no real consolation Robert but it could well be still in the post. I have found that mail sent to the UK from the US takes a lot longer if it needs to be signed for than if not, in some cases it's taken a month (I'm talking airmail not surface). I imagine Europe would be the same. So fingers crossed that it is just a postal delay. Cheers Don

Does anyone here have any info re this/these organisations? I've been aware of the symbol & badges used by these two groups for a number of years. I've always assumed that the version without the Swastika was the earlier organisation & that the Swaz was added at a later date. However, I recently obtained a couple of docs to the same man, the earlier dated Ausweis (1934) for the Reichsverband des Kraftfahrgewerbes has the Swastika..... [attachmentid=47164] Whilst the later 1937 Ausweis for the Reichsverkehrsgruppe Kraftfahrgewerbe doesn't have it. [attachmentid=47165] I would have thought that by 1937 the Reich would have been insisting that the Swastika was on everything rather than being removed or left off. Can anyone shed any light on the history & difference between these organisations & whether there is a reason for this anomaly...... Cheers Don

Sometimes we do just have to work on our gut feeling & take a gamble. Neither of the badges in the last couple of threads are mine, they are all images from the archive I keep for reference & for occasions like this . As I said before, I had doubts about them, but it seems that they are OK, which is great as now I have to find some of these for my collection as well as all the other tirol badges Cheers Don

Robert, I've been through my archive. You mentioned that they were square, but were they similar to these? [attachmentid=46512] [attachmentid=46513] I had my doubts about these but I've now heard back from someone I know who knows just about everything there is to know about hunting, shooting etc in the Third Reich. He believes that these shown here are original & have not yet been faked. Cheers Don
