    1. Ahhh... I think you are on the right track... must be from his personal Bodyguard :-) ;-)
    2. Hmmm... I don't want to pry... but technically it should have fallen off when she was scrubbing floors or digging the garden ? I dont think a scarf would have helped at anything near a 45 degree angle ?? I have a sneaking suspicion you are lying to us?
    3. Well... thats like asking what good is a woman without a hat? if they have one, fine... if they dont, its cool as well... they can buy one, as long as its not too expensive....
    4. You know... some guys would not surprise me if they said that.... but you!?!?
    5. I have dozens of documents I have not yet had time to research.... including this Eatern Front one. I like Bavarian, but am not big on the eastern front..... Imagine what this document has hiding behind it....
    6. I missed a papiergarn one... I think it went for EUR800
    7. On threads like this, there are the "haves"... and the "have nots".... If you are a "have" you read the moaning of the "have nots" with amusement... but you dont comment. Chips has boxes of these... so he is laughing his ASSets off.... ;-)
    8. Fantastically interesting... I dont have an example... This may seem like a strange question... but do they smell like sweat? I am always astounded how almost hundred year old things can stink of BO
    9. A bit smaller than an Iron Cross, I dont have it in my hands yet... It seems to have been souveniered in 1916 along with the guys belt buckle. Best Chris
    10. ... in the mail, on its way to me... Its been a tough few months, so luckily it was not toooo expensive.... but of great interest to me ;-)
    11. Hi, I assume this is a Russian Imperial badge? Is it a Regimental one? Thanks Chris
    12. So far, none have become availible to me.... ;-) I had a line on some ersatz cloth ones, but they went before I could make an offer....
    13. Figured at your age you would have forgotten by now ;-)
    14. Send me a pic of the two lady friends fighting for the Luger? :-)
    15. I used to think neutralisation was crp... but then saw my neutralised Grenades, Panzerfaust etc... and it did not bother me there.... so why with a MG08?
    16. I used to think that way, but with kids running around who touch, try and mess up everything within reach.... It is always a question of Neutralising, or getting the papers and then locking things away, out of reach, out of sight. I prefer having them laying around, and harmless, especially as our 9 year old begins planning making cannons of his own.... Now it is a play in front of the TV thing, and the only way it harms you is when you get your fingers caught....
    17. The Barrel was in terrible shape, so it was not really a crime to have this neutralised.... It is pretty cool as the stock has the same number....
    18. Fantastic... what a pity there are no citations for these!!
    19. Thanks, now I have another item on my "need" list ;-)
    20. That IS interesting.... I have never seen one like that before. Are they prewar?
