Hi Chet, Good Morning. The First Class Red Cross Medal is relatively scarce. But I believe the case was incorrect. Every grade of this medal I’ve handled over the years has come in a red case, similar to the Red Eagle Medal. Never seen one in the black case like the one sold on eBay. I suppose it’s possible it was issued this way, but not that I’ve seen. It was in beautiful condition with the enamel intact. I do think that’s a premium price for that piece but given current market trends probably not really out of line, just high.

Found this bar on eBay.de, currently at 387 Euro. Really nice bar but the St. Henry is a spangenstuck! It’s not an issued piece.

Final price on the Albert: $730! This Cased Prussian Red Cross Medal brought $168.50!

I struggled with this one, bad condition but a great bar and a scarce St. Michael Medal. Final price was $419

21 year Mecklenburg LS Cross, $178.49. It is a pretty scarce piece
