Hi Christer, thanks for this information. Is it possible to find NCO´s there ? I´m looking for an bavarian Vicefeldwebel Johann Franz Ruckert born October 3rd 1876 at Ochsenfurt. All I know that he was in China and got the MVK, later was awarded the lifesaving medal and served in WW 1. Kind regards Andreas

Mußt schon richtig lesen Die Hansa-Lloyd Werke A.G. entstanden 1914 aus dem Zusammenschluss der Hansa-Automobil GmbH in Varel und der Norddeutschen Automobil und Motoren AG(NAMAG) in Bremen-Hastedt (Föhrenstraße). Habe ich beim ersten Lesen auch überlesen. Sorry for posting in German, its the text that the Hansa Lloyd Werke existed before 1919. Regards Andreas

Pierce, this typ was originally issued for the Spanish Civil War, but I´ve seen one with an engraving from 1942 on the back. I think they have made more from them as needed in the SCW so thus were awarded in WW 2 too Andreas

Hello Pierce, in Germany we call it 1. model, he wasn´t in Spain otherwise there should be some spanish decorations on his medal bar. Kind regards Andreas
