    1. Hi Padelman. Thanks for your help. I am sending you a PM. Here a picture of the marks.
    2. Hi Ulsterman. I'm not quite sure what a "negated Gazetta" is, but there exist a record of most recipients From: http://www.ethiopian...decorations.htm #TheOrderofEmperorMenelikII "It is probable that the design of the Order was influenced by the Montenegrin Order of Danilo which had passed into abeyance with the fall of the kingdom and its absorption into the United Kingdom of Yugoslavia. This Order was also made by Arthus-Bertrand in Paris."
    3. Thanks to Great Dane for Great Help. Without revealing the name of the recipient, I can say that the Order of the White Elephant is awarded before 1919. Japan X You're right about the metal, silver gilt but without marks
    4. Just to be sure. You think this might be French made: https://www.militari...NKNOWN_101.html
    5. 922F. Many thanks for the useful information. I have visited the page "Crown Council of Ethiopia." I thought this order of Menelik II ended after Haile Selassie's death in 1974, but it continued into 1996 where the order was split in two. You're right about the metal, it is bronze gilt and no makers marks as you can see on the back. Mark. Thanks for your link, I had never found this one as it is listed as unknown. It is very cheap but I do not believe it to be "real silk". I can see they have two types for sale, which one should I choose? https://www.militari...NKNOWN_101.html - https://www.militari...UNKNOWN_97.html I had only found these solutions but they are too expensive, especially because I might be swapping my set http://www.medal-medaille.com/product_info.php?cPath=54&products_id=8469 http://www.liverpool...ash-L23317.html Regards North Denmark
    6. Thanks Nick, you are a great help . I also have this version which is smaller 59*31.5 mm.There are also other differences as you can see. Is this an older type? (Order of the Dannebrog Christian X 1912-1947. Danish Red Cross Decoration of Honor 1916-1963) Regards North Denmark
    7. Hi All Can anyone tell me something about this order (78 mm), how old is it? Regards North Denmark
    8. Dear Members Please help me with this one. What type, what class and how old / rare is this order? Regards North Denmark
    9. Hi All I have this order that I would like to know more about. The star measures 83*78.8mm (123.5 grams). The badge 75 *49.2 mm. (48.8 grams). I've been told that this type was made in Paris by maker Arthus Bertrand. Hoping someone here knows more. How many Grand Cross were awarded (list of recipients), who manufactured the Order and how old it is. Please comment. Regards North Denmark
    10. Dear members I could use some expert help on this Knight Cross to the Order of the Dannebrog Christian X (1912-1947). Unmarked Hollow construction in gold (karat?) 61*30 mm. 12,6 gram. In the middle the Danish Red Cross badge of Honour. Instituted 19. 2. 1916 with the H.M. King Chr.X's approval. Only 261 awarded. Unmarked in silver by royal court jeweler Anton Michelsen. If anyone knows how old the Order of the white elephant is, it would be helpful. Please comment. Regards North Denmark
    11. Thanks Michael Do you also know who designed the cross?
    12. Thanks for the good pictures. I have some unanswered questions about this new and beautiful decoration. Is the cross made in gold, how does the reverse looks like and is the recipient's name engraved as on the British Victoria Cross? Regards North Denmark
    13. Hi Michael You are absolutely right. I have to look around for an older cross in silver, or I can swap the two Dannebrog crosses and let the silver come first (both orders had fallen off the bar then I got it, but still 35 years is a long time). Can you please tell in what time period this type of bar was used? Regards North Denmark
    14. Dear Members Please help me to date this order. I am also interested in the hallmarks, if anyone knows about them. Regards North Denmark
    15. Hi David The upper row in frame is composed by a previous collector. I do not know the recipient of the bottom row and the last medal is not correct. I still need to find the correct medal but I do not know the the Ribbon (It is not Order of St. Anna). Please help And yes it is the Knight of the "Falke Orden" you see. Regards North Denmark
    16. Hi ccj Here a few examples of modern copies of poor quality: http://www.quarterde...ucts.php?cID=18 http://www.amazon.co...l/dp/B001HQ4674 Older copies are "rare" in commanders class. I would recommend this site if you need replacement ribbon or sash: http://www.ribbonsshop.com/category/austria-hungary/ Regards North Denmark
    17. Hi All The pictures shows the Ehrenzeichen II Class 1. republic in silver. I hope someone knows what the label on the bottom of the box means (it's certainly not the price I paid). Was the buttons on the back of the ribbon made from the factory? Regards North Denmark
    18. Dear Members I just want to draw attention to this order on auction: http://www.coins-la-galerie-numismatique.com/auction-xvii/austria/grand-cross-badge-1st-class-circa-1914-18 This Order is clearly a Rote & Neffe copy (1960-1970), but is described as being from WW1. Be careful out there. Best wishes North Denmark
    19. Hi Here an example of two different manufacturers. Left: G. A. Sheid. Right: V. Mayer's Söhne. If anyone has examples of other manufacturers of these beautiful decorations, I would really like to see them. Rothe & Neffe has made the Verdiensstern but have they also made the smaller decorations? Regards North Denmark
    20. Hi Elmar Lang One last question. Is this order also a Rote & Neffe copy from the 1960-70 http://www.hermann-historica.de/auktion/hhm61.pl?f=NR_LOT&c=4042&t=temartic_O_GB&db=kat61_o.txt ? Regards North Denmark
    21. Congratulations. One of the world's most beautiful Orders! Regards North Denmark
