    1. Congratulations. Missing from and probably will remain so, from my collection. Sure nice to see. --dj--Joe
    2. My photographic skills leave much to be desired. Here is the chain, hot off the scanner. Obverse. g --dj--Joe
    3. Nice singles. I'm sorry not to have any at present so must slip back to chains. Here is a cased piece. --dj--Joe
    4. I was not aware of size difference either. Does your Assmann have the wiggly pin & pin plate? --dj--Joe
    5. This one had it's own thread but rightly belongs with all the other examples. --dj--Joe
    6. Xen, thanks. Would my example be considered red or light red? --dj--Joe
    7. Would it be viable to give a ballpark tutorial on current Buckle prices? I know pricing is subjective and an item is only worth what one will pay but still it would be nice to have some parameters subject to condition. I have been out of the loop for a time. Heer buckles are what I am eyeing at the present time. Will start with a question, an alum. two piece Heer (4 tab) common maker mark, in very good cond. Would a fair pricing range be $85.00 - $95.00 U.S. dollars? No leather tab. I realize this may not be doable due to the desire for rarer maker marks and the coresponding higher cost involved. --dj--Joe
    8. Germany was one of the treaty powers at Tientsin not positive of the dates. Noted 1899-1917. Perhaps it is a commemorative for a serving soldiers organization. --dj--Joe
    9. 1st. time see on that maker mark for me. Is it shown in a period reference? --dj--Joe
    10. It appears the Luftschutz buckles got used by more than one organization. Have seen them listed as being used by Wasserstrassenbeamten and Sicherheits und Hilfdienst also. I recall some in wear pictures but will have to do some searching. I recall you had a nice R.S.&S. example. --dj--Joe
    11. I thought your picture would have stirred more interest and some discussion. I thought it quite interesting. --dj--Joe
    12. Interesting thread. Don, I appreciate being made aware of the fake example. Have read that Werner Redo was destroyed near the end of the war but have seen no collaborating proof. --dj--Joe
    13. Rob, should you locate the picture would you be so kind as to post it here? It was a most interesting image. --dj--Joe
