    1. Sorry Owain I missed your post but I tried a quick shot tonight but the light is poor and I would have blasted the image if I used flash, however I will try again in the morning and repost. Best regards Gerry
    2. Cheers Owain, the medals are actually much nicer than the photo shows. I guess unless someone who owns the full size medals comes forward I will never know who the owner was. However I am glad I got them. Gerry
    3. Many thanks Jeff its the first medal group I have come across with the single War medal although whoever owned this set and its full size version appears to have seen a lot of service later. Thank you once again.
    4. Just bought this mini set today, can anyone explain the WW2 General service medal without Stars and the Omani medal that has like crossed daggers or swords on it. I dont normally buy mini sets into the 60s but this looked interesting so any info would be very much appreciated, Thanks everyone.
    5. I will post more photos of the collection including his full dress and undress sabretachs and back pouches when I find where I have stored them.!!
    6. I would be very interested in a purchase when they are available.
    7. By the way the photo which RTE used above shows quite clearly the 2 distinct units, on Tudors right are the Black and Tans and to his left are the ADRiC (Auxies) for some reason both units are continuely referred to wrongly by historians generally.
    8. No connection what so ever to the Royal Family. Check out Wikapedia under Major General H.H.Tudor for a small bio of him which I helped put together of him.
    9. Hi, I am the owner of Major General Hugh Tudors uniform collection, I contacted RTE with reference to the above photo of Gen Tudor which was not on the original flyer for the Newfoundland story on the General. This photo was held by the RTE archives dept and they then used it at my suggestion. The program on Tudor was very badly researched and contained very untrue facts which I pointed out to the producer in St Johns.
