Poor thing! But a nice case I'd say the price is OK. While sash badges usually are more expensive than breast stars a poor condition on costly awards lowers their value very much. Curse you Yahoo Japan! Why is it so hard to buy from you?!

While the difference in length is relatively small the difference in thickness can be observed by the naked eye. I encourage you all to measure the thickness of your 1st and 3rd classes you have in your collection. Maybe we'll find another feature in addition to the rings to distinguish the classes. By the way what is the difference in weight then?

This is the upper part of a 3rd class Order of the Auspicious Clouds. It depicts the Imperial Seal of Manchukuo. This part alone doesn't represent the whole decoration but I think it has a powerful appearance on it's own. (personal collection, black background edited with Photoshop)© utopis 2013
