    1. Magnificent! Many, many thank you for your heart-warming? information. So 2 deadly mishaps, soso far, but fortunately I haven't encountered any fakes yet. So how much is/are these Ostvolk medals? Just kidding.
    2. Hello! I also happen to own this medal. Unfortunately I really don't know much about this medal either. Someone I know in America introduced me/and for purchasing. I collect Hindenburg medals so does this medal. I want to stay tuned so I can learn more about this...I know or have heard it is hard to get from where I live. I like it very much and I appreciate you very much for this. Take care and will keep in touch!
    3. Hello. I also agree that this Hindenburg medal is different, not bronze as ordinarily seen. Somewhat fascinates me cause maybe it was used as is, with wrong ribbon? I never seen one with zinc, so perhaps...just being optimistic. Also congratulations, you have, I think, rare type of this cross. Is this maker kind of rare also?
    4. Hello! Very, excellent collection you have! I also want to know which prefecture it came from. Don't take me wrong, I do own few badges from fire department. But, or rather it is still kind of hidden... To make stories short, I bought a couple of fire dept badges from an antique shop. It really looked elegant and fine. Few months later, I was invited to a Fire Dept Drill Show? and there I realized people? are still wearing them. Fine! But not antiques... So I just kept them in a safe place and kept cool, silent. It's great looking and expecting you will find out where it is from, athough it may read like some contest awards written on the reverse.
    5. Hello! I am from Japan but unfortunately I don't know anything about knives. I do know that ww knives, swords are considered weaponry and hard, almost impossible to possess. So overseas there is a lot of... like this one on the photo. But it is inscribed registered trademark or product of Higo. So I think it's older than ww times. Sorry I can't really help.
    6. Hello, everybody! I'm new in the club and was/is very impressed. As a matter of fact I am from Japan also and have experienced that disaster while working at Yokohama area. I remember walking all the home most of the night. All phones were almost dead, can't communicate besides my company I work in. There I was asked? if I could work the next day, while all the trains stopped, no buses, etc. Next day, everything went well, all communication taken cared of and everybody was safe. I or rather we started talking about raising personal? donation activity. Thought about issuing? handing out commercial? medals to those giving? donating us. Well, somebody else or rather people were quick to take action, volunteer workers, children asking for donation, etc. Anybody interested?
    7. Congratulations! I have never seen Hindenburg in silver! Although I do hear? about zinc. Where are you located and how? very sorry I can't attend your celebrations. Most people won't touch because fake comes in mind. You must know well. Congratulations!
    8. Hello! I also have some Hindenburg Crosses which I regard as awesome. I have a question or questions. Did Hindenburg Crosses come with ribbons at that time? I've seen this Cross with cases but no ribbons. I also heard? seen Crosses with triangular ribbons from or like Austria. Did all makers of this cross supply this Austrian type of ribbons? Also I came across this matter that this Hindenburg Cross was awarded by application? People applied for this medal?
    9. Hello! I just wanted to know, it's not exactly makers marking, but I want to ask about Hindenburg Cross I've collecting. In the front of the medal, there's years marked. And according to maker, the number/numeral comes with different FONT sizes. My question is, like Mayer&Wilhelm comes with 11pt? sizes. Twer&Turck comes with 8pt sizes. Are the FONT sizes set for each makers?
    10. Hello, again! I just wanted to check and see the difference between the ostvolk medals issued during wartime? and 1957 reissued ostvolk. Exactly what has been revised without Nazi...?
    11. Hello, Mr Hauptmann! I've never seen 2nd class Ostvolk Medal. This photo really surprised me since one of the ribbon is very similar to the Japanese kite medal, with one stripe over green. Another point I want to ask is the circular design done by Mr. Elmar Lang. Is this the same person at the Institute of Biophysics, at University of Regensburg in Germany? If so, does this medal stands? for unification? of the Aryan race? given to Russians?
