Dedehansen, that is a great photo. I would love to have more KM officials photos. They are hard to find. In your second photo is that a Luft adler on his tunic? DLV? A rare photo, Love the wedding with swords portrait. I have been told that photographers supplied swords as props to be used in photos. Very nice HJ photos, the Reiter-HJ is very nice. What is the medal above the Sport Badge? Kreigsmarine dagger. Cheers, Larry

Thanks Paul, I hope to see other members post some photos as well. The dagger I posted in the first photo is the DLV (Deutscher Luftsport-Verband) version which is longer than the 1st pattern Luftwaffe dagger. Here is a photo of the 1st pattern Luftwaffe dagger in wear. Cheers, Larry

Thanks very much Paul. Yes, the photos look to be very early war period. I love daggers/swords in wear photos. Maybe a thread should be started showing photos of them. Looks like three brothers in this photo or are closely related?. Panzer, Kreigsmarine and LW flak. Cheers, Larry

I recently bought a large 2 Panzer Division photo lot which included these two photos of PAK being towed with ropes and straps similar to the ones Eric posted. The photos were taken in Greece in 1941. Cheers, Larry Ropes.

Very nice badges. The Deutscher Schutzenbund e.V. was liquidated on December 1936 and replaced with Deutscher Schutzenverband. The Luft Gewehr badge which started this thread was awarded for air rifle. Here is another portrait with Deutscher Schutzenbund badge worn. Cheers, Larry
