    1. Hi everyone, i like to share this medal to the members here in this forum, in the photos you can see the 2 types of 1st issue of Jose P. Laurel Medal made in 1943, during the Philippine occupation. stuck by C. Zamora & Sons. The bronze was stuck in 2000 pcs only (base on Basso's Book) The silver is not listed in Basso's Book and only have seen 3 pcs in different private collectors. (maybe 5 or less existed)
    2. I see thank you for some idea Nick, i think i will try to bargain w/ the antique deal, ill just stick close to $200.... if cant i think ill just pass the medal and return it. Thank you Nick it is a big help.
    3. Ya i also have a feeling it is too much, i just thinking the price will be around $150 - $400 only if in ebay??? it is also one of the reason why im looking for someone who have an idea or have seen this medal before..
    4. Im still thinking if i will buy this medal.... from a antique dealer here... it is pricey also. about $600, do you think it is worth it Nick? just afraid it might show up again in ebay or in auctions in future and will be sold in low value.
    5. I just notice it now......Ya i think it might be an error strike or the Zamora might re-use the reject medal to avoid wasting the materials, because during the war resources are limited also. is the box there in photo belongs to Tirad pass medal or in independence medal?
    6. Me too Nick it my 1st time to see this medal, i just dont know how this medal got here in Philippines......the medal is made in Surabaya, Indonesia.... Maybe this squad was also assigned later in Philippines.
    7. Photo from Mr. Ray Czahor collection, trial type Homma Medal made from Lead
    8. Hi again i got a lead Homma medal trial type only front ...no back Do you guys think this is a trail type? because it has same patina with the photo i got from Mr. Ray Czahor

Thank you
    10. Ya Mr. Nick a copy of the book will help us alot, i also email him if he still sell those books or e-book is OK also, cant wait for his reply....i hope he will reply to us.......i also hoping if i can get a lead trail peace like from the collections in Ray Czahor in future.... Nice photos about the 23 pcs Homma Medal, lucky you found that photos....i still didnt see those photos in internet, only the auction list in Ray Czahor's past auctions. If i can go back in time i like to join the 2010 auction of Ray Czahor, it has alot of rare Philippines coins and medal, like the 1906 S coins, Homma Medals and other more..
    11. Hi Post Mr. Nick, Great post.....i enjoy to reading it ...it has alot of details and additional information about the Homma Medal. It is really hard to know its exact quantity and types medals that were produce during the war, and dont know either if there was post-war reproductions or not. It is still a big mystery to me unit now..... hope there will be more clearer information to come soon about Homma Medal Nice work Mr. Nick really appreciated it. Thank you

    13. Im not quit sure if bronze is for soldiers and silver for officers, but some says it was how they are divided???? or some are repro. and some are original??? which makes the silver into 2 types(with loop and w/o loop)?
    14. Hi again Mr. Nick, 1st of all thank you about the medal, each have its own variations and differences in the production and quality.....which makes me hard know which will be the real one the which will be the repro. (if there is repro. in there).....or there is for low class and high class officers???
    15. tips on how to check the real type 2 Homma medal...i should have reeded edge of the coin and can still see some of the designs in coin
    16. Not sure if this is a trail peaces from my collection..... came from a Japanese vet., its color like aged bronze or copper? what to you think? same design as type 2 design
    17. Type 2 w/ reeded edge which was ----it has reeded edge due to the Japanese use 1 Peso sliver Phil. coin for medal
    18. Hi again Type 1 w/ loop - i think have 2 types ....silver and (other one dont whether bronze or copper)...i think silver are given to higher officers and the other one is given to private rank.
    19. Hi again Mr. Nick, the bronze trail peace had been produce many replica in Philippines, due to its price....and few people have seen it in actual.....i have some in my collection year years ago but not sure if it is a trail peace or just a replica in market.
