    1. Ethiopean Commemorative Medal for the Korean War: -
    2. For those interested, I recently did quite a lot of work on the Russian Federation section of my site. Several medals, especially in the early days, looked extremely similar to their USSR equivalents, while the Orders of Suvarov, Ushakov, Kutuzov, Nakhimov and Alexander Nevsky were retained unchanged, being confirmed in the Federation's order of precedence in 1992.
    3. Lovely. Tang Si, would you be willing to permit me to use the images on my website, please?
    4. Thanks for that... will add it to the website when I get home.
    5. Fascinating background to your extensive collection, Lorenzo. Looks like he was rather good at Tae Kwon Do (I did some when younger, but not that well!). Does he still keep in practice?
    6. In whimsical mood, is it preferable to have a medal for being shot at or one for failing to duck? Yet the 'Enemy Marksmanship Award' known as the Purple Heart is a highly-regarded award high in the US order of precedence.
    7. Star: This pictures have an interesting story - they were sent to me by one James Miller, the master goldsmith who made them! This set were made to be presented to HM Queen Elizabeth II of the UK.
    8. Sash Badge (sash is a dark red/purple colour):
    9. Instituted: 23 September 1967 by King Hussein. Awarded: To members of the royal family, foreign sovereigns and heads of state, and others of similar rank in a single class. Collar:
    10. Ooops.... so you did. And I know about your generousity too...
    11. Ah, so that's what the backside looks like! Um, Darrell, may I please use the image on my site?
    12. Thanks, Ed. Where does it go in the order of precedence - then I can stick up a skeleton record and await pictures in due course...
    13. Do I need to add mention of this to my Mongolian section?
    14. Why is the FOREIGN SERVICE one a different shape to the rest? Coastie, may I use your images of them on my website please? Hadn't seen them before.
    15. Never talking to yourself, Darrell - I'm always looking in. I have a massive collection of images of unusual US medals (state and agency) sent me by another US collector, and once I have sorted them I shall be back to request permission to fill any gaps...
    16. Advice please: where should post-communist Russian Federation awards go? We have a forum section for USSR and this one for Imperial but where do I talk about modern stuff?
    17. They are all nice pictures, but it does help when they are sorted by nation...
    18. Thank you, dear heart - please do go on correcting wherever necessary! How else will I get it right?
    19. Various people sent them to me - including Ilja Repetski of this parish, and Emmanuel Halleaux, who is a Belgian collector who watches my site and sends me pictures for whatever section I am working on at the time. All are, of course, duly acknowledged on the website. I remember Christophe's thread, the last time I looked was before I started in on Romania. Must have another look with a view to asking permission to use any I don't have pictures of at the moment. I also have a request in with the Romanian authorities concerning their wonderful images of current awards, still waiting to hear back from them. And thank you for the corrections regarding terms of award and dates - I'll go amend that page. Could I have your real name for the acknowledgements page, please?
    20. Could you send me a copy too, please? Invaluable for ensuring that the Albanian section of my website is as correct as possible.
