Here is a pin that is rather interesting that was worn on civilian clothes. A friend has it with the medal in his collection. James
Never saw that one!
Any chance to get more details, please? (back pic, measuremants and a pic of your friend's medal?)

I love those field desk's! Missed one a couple year ago, something in the price region like thise one.
It was a couple of war's older(lol) ment for colonial purpose.
Thing is they require much more space then a helmet...
Especialy when field bed and field bath comes with the (field!)desk too.

A very nice and desirerable medal.
On the top of my Belgian Congo list.
Unfortunatly many re-strikes have been made in the '70 ties, selling at 250€ and more.
I am not saying thise one is! To hard to judge by a picture.

Are you sure!
Sometimes they just leave parcels at the door, here!

Possibly, but it was not an award... just a token gesture.... just as if Franck Ribéry gave me one of his Bayern München t_shirts... it would not make me part of the team.
No officer there would have been authorised to make an award... much less to a foreigner ;-)
Who is Fr Bibéry....??? What team???? ....t- shirts???........... I tought we were talking uniforms here!!?
;-)

I didn't realy know where to put thise, but opening a new threat seemed appropriated for thise rather important document.
At first I didn't realy know how important it could be, I had to be quick, I just saw it was a old Leopold I brevet to the order with the same name, with a dry stamp (rather uncomoun on later brevet's!)
It was just when I got home that the name Teichmann stroke me .
He got the medal when he was general inspector for public Works (bridges and road's! A very specific service for a long time in Belgium (and France!)).
He had a great political carreer, minister for internal affairs during a short transition periode at the Belgian independance, governor of Antwerp at one time, and so on.

Oeps! Sorry!!
Of course it is Kazimierz PULASKI (1861-1947)
And there is a big tear in the middle, but being a restorer myself I value that cost around the 250€ if done by one of my collegues.
The person selling it is a fellow member of a other forum, so we are looking for a general value in order to manage to get a price both can satisfy.
