    1. Thanks, I appreciate the comments.
    2. Here's the rear of what I think may be a W.
    3. It's been awile since I've picked up an Imperial EK2 but this one arrived today. It was said to be marked W when I bought it and I think it may be, although it's kind of hard to tell. Does anyone have any opinions on the maker?
    4. Yes I think it is worthg hanging onto. From the pictures it looks unissued and I never paid alot anyway.
    5. Thanks. I don't see any other markings anywhere.
    6. The rear. Too bad the maker mark isn't visable.
    7. This arrived today. It's a marked We EK1. The maker mark is under the catch and very hard to see without a glass. It's there though. How hard is this maker to come by?
    8. Here it is without the attachment device. What do you guys think?
    9. Here's the rear. Notice no anti rotation device.
    10. I just recieved this EK1 screwback. I would like to get opinions on whether it is good or not. I know it is a Third Reich era peice and probably not the top EK out there but the price was good. It was discussed awhile back but I can't find it. It's magnetic. There is no anti rotaion device on the back however. Is this a problem?
    11. I was trying to fill in my EK collection with a few items. I picked up an EK1/EK2 stickpin, an EK1 award doc and also piocked up this set with the F & G packet so I could have a packet. It was only after that I started to look into the maker. I haven't recieved it yet but will most likely keep the items.
    12. Thanks. Did they make EK2's and do we have pictures of one? I bought my packet with an EK2 said to belong with the packet. I was skeptical of this after investigating this issue but I will post it when it arrives. If it's an obvious maker that jumps out at us fine, but if no one is able to ID the make of it, who can say?
    13. I'd never heard of this before but bought an unmarked EK2 with one of thse packets last week, and after looking into it did not see them listed as a maker. I still don't know what to do when it arrives. Seems no one really knows. Might be nice to have one if they turn out to be good. I have a hard time believing the cross came with it now.
    14. Thanks Micha. Good to hear these things from knowlegable collectors.
    15. The rear. This was my 50th Iron Cross by the way.
    16. This nice WS EK1 arrived today. The marker's mark is faint but is there for sure to the right of the pin. A direct stamping, not incuse relief. The end of the pin is very sharp. I like it. What does everyone think?
    17. Collecting these items often makes me wonder the story behind them. Who won the medal and how? What happened to that person after etc? Imagine if we knew. I have a collection of EK's here that is nice but not groundbreaking. However, who's to say the stoty behind some of my items? Maybe one of my pieces belonged to a very famous or infamous person. This could apply to the EK's in any ones collection. We'll never know in most cases but it does make you wonder.
    18. A very nice set indeed, especially with the history. I'm waiting on a WS myself and will post it when it shows.
    19. Yes, but I was talking about the 1939 series. Any crosses from the 20's would be from the 1914 series or earlier.
    20. Here's my 3 Imperial parade mounts. The latest one is in the middle. As you can see, they are all slightly different in thier set ups.
    21. The rear of the unmarked parade mounted EK2.
