As you can see about this officer : a typical prussian officer. He wore only both iron crosses and Pour le M?rite.

Hi,
I'm not a specialist, but for me it's not a good pilot badge. The hallmarks contains a crown between the half moon and the silver hallmark ? I'm waiting for more comments

Hi Micha,
Do you identify your ribbon bar ? Does it belong to an airman officer ? I have already seen a medal bar with this combos.
A very nice ribbon bar Micha,

Hi,
This is the first time I see a pilot's badge in cloth for the WW1. I know that Prussian used cloth version for Johanniter cross, but not for a medal like the Prussian pilot's badge.

Robert,
Thank you very much for the additional info. Like Chip said, the silver finish, which looks somehow "subdued" and not silvery-bright like one'd expect on a Feldbinde, would have made all the difference. A very desirable buckle that went to a lucky bidder. I didn't bother bidding on ebay as I took the finish to be a light field grey, perhaps even lightened even further because of some slight over-exposure of the photo. Well, just my luck!
Best regards, Kurt

Hi,
The oak leaves are very small. Is it normal ? I'm not familiar with medals before 1900.

Another Thuringian ribbon bar. Thanks to Rick V.
Note that the ribbon bar has got Waxe Weimar knight cross ribbon without X. Quite rare.
