Hi, I have a doubt about this medal, Thies does not mention of a round hallmark on the rim. I have had a miniature of this medal in the past and there was an round hallmark. it's probably a piece that's been gilded by a jeweler. Even if I could afford it, I'd pass. Just my o pinion Christophe

It appears only after 1920 in the Reichswehr to to distinguish the difference between officers and non-commissioned members who have been awarded the saint henry medalmake Christophe You can see it in my topic about Saxon collection Christophe

Hi everybody Hello everyone I am planning to write a book about the Saxon officers of the 13th chasseur battalion and its reserve during the Great War. The book will consist of three parts. The first will deal with the purely historical aspect of the battalion (from its creation in 1809 to 1914), with a particular focus on the 14-18 war. The second part will deal with the orders of knighthood and medals received by the officers. The third and final part deals with uniformology. I'm looking for photos (in very high resolution, minimum 300 dpi) of officers from these units. I'm also looking for photos of uniform parts before and during the war. The names of those who have helped me will be cited in the book. Some collectors have kindly lent me photos from their collections. I would like to thank them for this. hi, Here is one photo of my small private museum. I have a ribbon bar with SA3bX, EK2 and RE3X. I put it with Leutnant shoulderboards from IR 107. Only one officer from this unit received this combo plus EK1 and RK : Lt d.R. Otto Meißner (1896-1919) Christophe
