    1. Hello Everyone This is one of the few army docs i have left but I find it an interesting group. The first doc is about the man winning a tank destruction strip on 16.10.1943.The second doc is a silver wound badge dated 16.10.1943 and the third doc is an EK1 doc dated 20.10.1943..Tanks are big heavy things you don't want to get in the way of but this man did hence the silver wound badge I guess.... Best Regards Richard

    6. Hello Everyone Here is an image of the name on the back of the u-boat clasp it is not a very good image. Would this writing show up under a black light ?or does anyone have any ideas how I can highlight it better? Best Regards Richard
    7. Hello Everyone The story behind this is.Dave B bought this from a old boy who was in the KSLI he was in Flensberg when Donitz was arrested on 24/5/45.He was told to look after a few PoWs for a while he then exchanged cigs and choc for some of there awards. The old boy is 88 and can tell us no more.there is a dog tag which I hope to research and a name on the back of the u-boat clasp but I cannot read it.The only slight puzzle is that U318 surrendered in Norway.the crewman must have transfered to another boat or gone for training in Germany. There seems to be items from 3 men an officer,an Obermaat and a marine artillery man Best Regards Richard.. Merry Christmas to All..

    17. Hello Everyone I have a u-boat soldbuch and the man spent a month in hospital.I can not seem to find this illness code it looks like 47.I have heared it said that kriegsmarine codes are slightly different to army ones.I would also like to know the name of the hospital if anyone could help as far as I know this man was trapped at St Nazaire until the end of the war.
