    1. Sascha! You are "da MAN"!!!!! You made my day! That is great... it really matches almost completely. The last abreviation is for a Foreign order, but which one? SS2b (Spanish -don't think-, Swedish, ...?). Liebeskind sounds to me like a famility name with jewish ancestry... like the famous American Architect in NY (his parents came to the USA from Poland, Posen). But maybe there were many Liebeskind with different families' roots. C
    2. Dear forumites, I'd like to hear your opinion on this cross, not about its originality, which is out of question, but about the possible maker. Could it be made by Paul Meybauer? The Needle on the back seems like to be of this maker... It is only marked silver "800" under the catch, barely visible. Thank you very much in advance for your most appreciated comments. Ciao, Claudio
    3. Hi Sascha, I completely confused this bar with another bar I posted on the thread "Gunzenhausen, show what you bought"... This bar has nothing to do with v. Loewenfeld and you are completely right! My fault... sorry! Ciao, Claudio
    4. Yeah... you're right Vince... and it is just the tip of the iceberg of his collection. I know him personally and was invited to his home and he showed me his huge collection (with focus on Bavaria). Incredible! Some of the pieces I saw again at Gunzenhausen, I remember very distinctly, like the King of Bulgaria's ribbon bar and some of the huge miniature chains with Golden orders. There was more there in his war room in the basement than at the Bavarian Army Museum in Ingolstadt! Ciao, Claudio
    5. Thanks Glenn! Any Bavarian connections? He got a MVO4kr and a MVO3KrX (late WWI)... C
    6. Thanks!!!!! Now I just need a picture of him wearing either his ribbon or medal bar... easy!
    7. On the Rangliste of 1914 (pp 130 & 482) I found him as "Ing. Offiz. v. Platz i. Metz", RAO4 PrDA25 BMV4mKr, i. d. 4. Ing., Insp. (4. Ingenieur-Inspektion), 27.01.1908 G2g
    8. Dear forumites, I am looking for more information about a Oberst z.D. Kraemer... I already thank you all who can help gather interesting data about this office; I really appreciate! Ciao, Claudio
    9. Well, if you calculate that every miniature is about 16mm, I think it could be 25-30 cm long, if you strech it completely! :speechless1:
    10. A potpourri of different German states (pre 1918) miniatures... (sorry for the out of the focus pictures.... maybe also the photo camera was impressed by this spectacle!)
    11. Some cute an very rare Bavarian miniatures! These are very looked after in Germany... lots of Bavarian medals & orders collectors...
    12. Described by the exhibitionist as history of the evolution of the ribbon bars... ;-)
    13. A splendid conditioned Godet's Miniaturkettchen in its original case... all the principal orders are made of GOLD!
    14. Ribbon bar of the king of Bulgaria with lots of interesting enamaled ribbon devices...
    15. Some rare original miniature medal bars (also mounted as Frackspange - civilian tuxedo bars)...
