    1. Not yet, everyone here is still on vacation but the bums should be back any day now Eric
    2. OK I might be a very happy camper next week.........maybe. Is there any way I can find out who the owner to #164 is. Ive been looking everywhere nut cant seem to find a list. thanks for your help Eric
    3. Hey Tony ,not sure if this is a real old thread or not but anyways where did you find those crosses??? Ive been looking for these for some time now Eric
    4. Here you go: All EK2's 16 Oct 1918 20 Feb 1918 10 june 1916 2 Apr 1917 17 May 1917 6 Jan 1917 9 Aug 1915 3 Oct 1916 7 Jun 1917 19 MAy 1918 11 Nov 1917 16 Oct 1934 (better late than never) Eric
    5. It surely gives away your position and you usually would move to a different position afterwards but it's used to get rid of anyone sneaking around your perimeter before you continue your movement I wouldn't use it in urban terrain, just like you say civilians might be a problem Eric
    6. The way we use "the mad minute" is right after BMNT (before morning nautical twighlight ...Army talk for dawn hahaha) or standto. Everyone in the perimeter expends 1 magazine does a quick reload and then you sit and wait Eric
    7. I'm not sure if this is really all that rare and it surely doesnt compare to the other items but I think it's a beauty Eric
    8. I've seen this in hand and I would bet my paycheck that the disk and the pics are 1000% original Eric
    9. Yeah thats my guess also,It is pretty cool tho.Maybe this can be my new"junk" box Eric
    10. Now Im 100% sure the 1870 cross is a fake and Im almost 100% sure the Ek is'nt period made if it was a field made EK1 why is there no wear at all to it?? so why all of this for a bunch of homemade stuff???Its not made to fool anyone into buying this "rare" piece but theres something about the way the 1870 EK1 is "sewn" on the lid that makes me wonder. any ideas???
    11. The contents are as strange as the 1870 EK. inside was an honour cross some docs and then this????? looks like an almost mint EK2 missing the suspension ring....but whats that sticking out on the left side?????
    12. Heres the other side of the lid it looks like period thread (also did the burn test) and it looks kind of like the over engineered(?) knots that you sometime see
    13. I got this this weekend Its kind of strange,I'll elaborate more in the coming threads
    14. I cant believe the 113 has a web site!! Since I am a crew member of one of these beasts I can tell you that they are not that great, LOTS of problems we cant wait to get rid of them.I would take a Stryker in a heart beat over the 113.As a troop carrier they are terrible!!!! as medic vehicle they are great...when theyre running. The good thing about them is that its pretty easy to work on( which we do constantly) As you can see Im not a great fan of the 113 but I guess thats because i invest alot of blood, sweat and tears into them But the site is pretty cool Eric
    15. These are very interesting, how common were these? any pictures of them ? They really make alot of sense to have these in cloth in combat compared to the pin on Eric
    16. you can also see the runes on the smaller pic I first posted the one with the funky back ground .....don't ask. it's MUCH clearer than the pics I posted. Eric
    17. Thanks Rick sorry it took so long to reply but for some reason im not getting an email reply to this thread??? I'll post pics tonight, the other photo I have of him shows him wearing An EK1,IAB and what looks to be a gold wound badge. Eric
    18. I really do need a scanner!!!! How much is Epson paying you these days anyways Thanks! Eric.
