3rd Army + IV Corps, the checkerboard Circle underneath the "O.H.B." is for the IV Corps, which likely explains the 4 Aces. I see a pair of dice on there as well, very interesting piece. I do find it interesting to see that the 3rd Army was formed on November 7th, 1918, so I would wonder when this helmet was painted.

Sorry for a bleated response, but this is a typical Underwood contract M1 Carbine magazine (there is a U mark on the back spine of the magazine that I can make out fairly clearly). This is not a rare maker of these, but it is original. Always nice to get one out of the grease wrap.

Hi all, I have been expanding into Soviet collecting lately after a long emphasis on German Militaria, what are the learned opinions of you fine folks about this one? After looking at the maker mark and comparing it to others, I am less enthralled about it as I was, but variances in construction do exist so I would love more opinions. I will be getting McDaniel's book very soon.
