I have had this item for about 3 years now and every year or so I will post it to see if anyone else has one or to see if anyone has the green ones that go with it as I would like to buy one of those. This is for a Janitor or elevator operator and by the size was made to be worn on an overcoat. Thanks for looking.

Luftwaffe flying badges
CRBeery replied to a topic in Germany: Third Reich: Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
From that picture the dagger looks pretty standard. I would expect more from him with his taste. Is there anything on the blade? The badges would have been a nice thing to "liberate"! -
Heer Found this Unusual Item!
CRBeery replied to notned's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Something seems strange about this piece. The gold thing on the end is the kind of thing I have to keep my inside doors from opening too far and allowing the handle to hit the wall. I do not think that piece of the item is old. -
Here is a neat little piece I picked up about a year ago in a trade. I thought it was interesting but I do not collect Feuerwehr stuff. One day I was looking in the OEK and saw a grainy picture of it (326) and I was surprised at the price tag on it. I have kept my eyes open and have only found one other one. Are there any more here? They were given in 1934-36 so I think that there were not too many given out in such a short period.

Very nice and complete set! Saxon stuff is nice! I do have one question - why are the swords on the ribbon bar in gold? I realize that these crosses are attached to to the orders but looking at the ribbon bar I would expect an AR2. Was there any type of regulation on this or is gold accepted as these are part of the order family?

Here is a picture of a common flaw on Floch pieces. I noticed this a few years ago. If you look you can find this on EK1s, KVK1s and the L/14 Gold WB. NOTE: not all pieces have this flaw on the pin. It was corrected at some point but I did use it to tie the three fakes to the same maker. There is a slight indentation on the left side that I am trying to point to. Look at the other pictures and you will see it in most of them. Funny thing is that is seems to only appear on the left side. I have never found one otherwise.

Is that the one from Chris? VERY nice! I want to find one of these one day. They fascinate my mechanical side.
