Theo, that's exactly what am looking for. I have a few orders that I want to add to my Arty tunic... I have a 4th or 5th class Meirt on war ribbon I'm about to add but I don't want to remove the medals more than once, its a pain!!!!
The Bravery order is always the first one! Even if it is the simple Soldier's grade! Always the first. After the Bravery order, it goes like this:
St Alexander 4th
Military Merit 4th
St Alexander 5th
Military Merit 5th with Crown
Military Merit 5th
For Merit
St Alexander 6th
Military Merit 6th with Crown
Military Merit 6th
And at the end are pinned various medals like Merit, Lifesaving, war commemorative and etc etc.
If there are two St Alexander orders from the same class, the one with swords is first.
If there are two Military Merit orders from the same class, the one on wartime ribbon /blue/ is first /the other one is yellow-black/.
If there are two For Merit from the same class, again the one on blue ribbon is first and then comes the one on red ribbon.

Hi,
I won't post all my Saxon ribbon bars. Just one. This is not a rare ribbon bar but I like the combo Saxe and Bade. This officer, Bruno Schmidt, received SH3, SA3aX Kr EK2 and BZ3bX El. The oak leaves are very nice
Christophe
Chris, I love that ribbon bar. We could do some traden on that one for sure>>>>!!!>!>!>!>!>!>!> :speechless:

You have an impressive collection of photos.
I've thought about starting a photo collection but keep puting it off.
How do you store your photos?

Thanks Ricky...

Look at your ribbon bars on post # 4 and post # 5. the ribbon for Winter campaign should be ahead the KVK and not at the end of their ribbon bar. Strange
Can you show us the back please ?
Christophe
As for #2, it bothers me as well but i bought it from a ribbon bar guru. I've seen a few 3rd Reich photos of men not wearing the EKII in first place but wearing the EKII and spange on the button and the HOH at the lead. Anyway, it's odd and these has the metal backplate so it could be messed with.
As for the Russian Front ribbon being in the wrong place. It doesn't bother me on the on #4 though $5 is strange. I'll take picutres of the reverse. I have many more that I put up somewhere when I became tired of the 3rd Reich and started selling/trading it for WW1 stuff....

General L?ffler, General Pudor, Major von Zeschau
Is Major von Zeschau wearing a Shako?

Here is his hunting license:
Thanks, that's a fine tunic.
Hopefully you'll find out what awards Mette had. It looks like he may have had a 4-5 place ribbon bar.

A really nice bar to a WW1 veteran. I forgot I had this one in the closet

An interesting bar I've had for years. I had displayed it on my WSS tunic before I sold al my SS items... :speechless:

I have a few ribbon bars from the Third Reich era that may be common or a couple may be unique.

Last name only, Mette, dated 1939, tailored by Eduard Meusel, Halberstadt.

Nice tunic, can you show us the shoulder boards? I think I saw a nice visor cap that matches your tunic just today or yesterday....
You need a nice post 34 ribbon bar.

:catjava: Sewn on ribbon bar.
I'm not sure what I like best, ribbons sewn on spaced apart or ribbons sewn together then applied.

Short ribbon bar... half width ribbons on top, normal ribbon on bottom row

Here's a nice ribbon bar from the great war era.
I suppose it could be after the war if its the top row.

That's just Werner System for searching, however he's got things set up.
Werner is a Rogue Gnome
-- he doesn't use the Krause System???
Werner is quite as old as me
and we Pre-Computer guys did things the only way back Then-- long and difficult. Now...
I am ALMOST fully re-trained on Krause System, having had MY own Rick Version for many pre-computer years. That's why I'm not always consistent about Rank List Speak abbreviations.
Everybody should use Krause System.???
I need to learn, where's the instruction booklet?

Hi,
I have naturally the MAGNIFICENT Triple Ernestine Duchies Rolls of 2008...
But at first I have made from my old databases a mixed of the prussian ranklist from 1914 and the weimar ranklist from 1924...that was work enough.
DR M means Major of Deutsches Reich (Weimar), DR33 in my other lists stands for Drittes Reich.
Best regards
Werner
Thanks Werner, I've not heard of Major of Deutsches Reich.

Very nice ribbon! Congratulations! These sewn ribbon miniatures are very rare versions. In my opinion this is the ribbon of a military merit medal. The crown used to be this one. I think in this case the laurel wreath hasn't got any meaning, beacuse the ribbons shows that this is a war time decoration. The Order of Franz Josef has another miniature (the small version of the cross or the star by the upper half of this family of decoration). These kind of ribbons were private made ribbons, which could be bought in bigger manufactures by the officers pleasure.
Regards,
Bazsi
I like it, I have a similar one for the MMO and I've been looking for one of these for bronze and for silver for a nice tunic I own.
