No, Heiko, it was NOT that plain old ordinary Schlacht.
As it happens he appears in the Triple Ernestine Duchies awards rolls--immediately removing THAT guy as a suspect.
Why oh why do Daniel and I bother spending YEARS publishing award rolls?
Rick, I find it much easier to just pick a name. Saves time and money.

Cool down.........
it is Generaloberarzt a.D. von Schlacht - in 1914 rank list still Stabsarzt Schlacht without the "von" in Infanterie Regiment von Alvensleben (6.Brandenburgisches) Nr.52
Can someone go over all the awards represented by the ribbon bar?

But he's wearing hussar boots, not regular infantry officer's boots.
Oops, never mind, I see several other people already said that!
We may have been posting at the same time...

Do you know which man is the commanding officer?
Actually, I do think he's a Husar of HR17. Look at the color of his tabs and the style boots he wears.

Okay, I was going to say either IR92 or HR17 but the skull looked top short from what I could see.
Here's my IR92 officer's cap.

Yes, that?s right, but I bought the photo, from an album, which said, the photo was taken by the X.AK. It also said, there was a "Generalstabsreise". Unfortunately I only bought the photo, the text belomgs to the album, that haven?t been in the offer

Yup. Max Schulz.
TERRIFIC group and as rare a combination as could be imagined!
I thought the SVK was for NCOs...

The best reference of all-- and pocket size so it goes easily to shows is
These are out of print, but turn up occasionally. I thought somebody was reprinting them again last year, but that (?) appears to have fallen through. Nothing is as good as this--and they are keyed to the numbers in the matching Deutschland Katalog price guides.
Rick,
So far I have found a copy of this reference.

No problem, mate... a friend of mine has the Rangliste 05, maybe it helps
One in the front row right looks to be a husar. Look like a deaths head...

Has anyone ever seen one of these made of silver?
I've seen a few in photos that appear to be grayish with contrasting highlights. I don't know if they are private purchase or just worn.

Those changed in ~1892, the then ribbon for the merit medals is the same as for the merit crosses.
Why so many different widths of ribbon?

Are all of the yellow bars the Wurttemberg MMO?
What about the 3rd and 4th ribbons? Are both the Wurttemberg Crown Order?

Sorry about the delay ccj
Generaloberarzt a.D. von Schlacht
WOW!!!!!
That's an awesome bar... Whats the gold ribbon with the crown? Is it a Griffin Order????
I'm not familiar with some of the ribbons on this bar.

You are correct Chip. It's a Kleiner Rock, not a Litewka. The low collar is more often seen with the older Litewka or on the General's Litewka.
Does anyone have a list of commanders or Oberstlt serving in FAR111?
