One man's group sewn to backing of frame. Unfortunately, the frame was broken when it arrived in the mail... :banger:

Only ribbon bar......
Super medal bar and great photos. I've been hoping for a topic such as this. I have a fascination for Bulgarian militaria and this is interesting.

Austrian awards could NOT be worn from the button hole (except for the Maria Theresa Order) but the Prussian and Turkish ribbons could.
Linienschiffsleutnant (= Kapit?nleutnant) 1 May 1913 KARL Topil was born in 1886. Joined the navy 5.9.04.
As of 15 December 1915 (the "1916" seniority List) his awards were
?M3K, Signum Laudis Bronze on War Ribbon, 1908 Jubilee Cross, 1912/13 Mobilization Cross, and EK2.
He must have been either a flyer or a submariner to have earned those awards. Iron Crowns weren't just for "being there."
His older brother (?) HERMANN, born 1885, had joined the navy 12.09.02 and was the same rank (01.11.12) but only had the 1908 and 1912/13 Crosses at the end of 1915.

That is a nice bar Rick. I don't understand the self awarded medal, was that common?
I haven't seen many Austiran bars in the Bavarian style. Is that unusual?

Rick,
When do I get my copies of the new rolls? I've not received anything from you in a long time. Would offering money help???

I know most of these ribbons but what's the next to last ribbon? Would this be a Junior or Senior officer bar?

I'm almost certain this ribbon bar doesnt belong with the group. I know it's a post war bar that would have been worn on a different tunic. I'm not sure it looks to be a bar a senoir officer would have worn years after the war.

Oh yeah, that's a beauty. I'd love to put a similar bar into my collection. This would look great in my Bulgarian collection.
Super :jumping:

Well, Charles, it looks a lot better now doesn't it?

Oh yeah! I hate to admit it but the thrill is gone.
Well, almost gone but I guess search was more exciting than I thought.
It's very nice, very...

Hi Dave,
It's been a LONG time. I love your LGR100 officer tunic. Actually, I love all you uniforms. It would look good in my room and create a nice display wouldn't it?

Straps, very close match but one is more worn and dirty than the other.

Well, I thought the day would never come when I completed this tunic. I would like to upgrade one of the straps but I'm not complaining. I may never find another LGR100 strap in my lifetime.
I am very Grateful to Chip for sending the strap located on the tunic's right shoulder.
