    2. So I did remember his name from somewhere else than just his CHWO3! That's great as always Glenn
    3. Hi Glenn He would have been a Major since 1863 in the Ingenieurscorps. I am also looking for generals Leopold von Boddien, a Freiherr von Schlicher of unkown rank, and General Carl von Jacobi Would they be in the book? regards David
    4. Hi Would anyone of you have the book by Diebitsch on the Hannoverian Army in 1866: Der deutsche Krieg von 1866 / Theodor Fontane. Hannoverschen Armee im Juni 1866 I would be interested in some hannoverian officers which might be in ther. One of them is Georg August Oppermann Hope you van help me out on this one regards David
    5. do you just have WOI or data before that as well? Will they be taken into the publication?
    6. So whats te legal history of these mini's. Are they already mentioned in the Statuten of the order? I know they have been around since at least Napoleons time (pictures on the holland Order of the Union book by Schutte shows this) I also have pics fro men decorated with the CHLO wearing mini's Would like to know more about them!! David
    7. Sounds like antoher roll coming into being! What are your plans regarding the data you have Seeheld?
    8. Are ther any books to be recommended on scandinavian orders in general where I could find awarddates in (especially sweden and norway?)
    9. Hi Dave Thats great, what is the size? What are you planning to do with it?
    10. That would be great! I am sure there are a lot of willing members of this forum to help out with this giant roll. Together, I believe we will have it fixed and available in no time at all. Thanks to the internet we can set up a worlwide project.... yeah yeah I know I get carried away easily David
    11. That is just to bad. Was the Bremen shipment insured and would there be a way in which anyone of us could help out as far as the Hamburg CD is concerned?
    12. Rick, thanks for the input. More specifically, I am interested to know if the other hanseatics are being worked on already (Bremen and the massive Hamburg): who has what ( I know Ulsterman tried to get something from Bremen and Hamburg) In the meantime my own pre-1866 projects (kurhessian orders is proceeding steadily, thanks to other members of this forum as well. I won't name them it will only make them
    13. So in the meantime some are done, some are underway. Anything new (rolls found or being worked on) maybe an update from Daniel K. on his rolls-traveling around Germany? Are there already new projects being worked on (Ulsterman) or interested people who would like to support or set up new projects? Please tell us in this thread.
    14. Hi CCJ Size doesn't matter! Furtermore, I would be really interested in anyone posting medal/ribbonbars in wear showing the L?H by senior officers. Would be a great addition to the info sofar!!
    15. Rick is right so mea culpa....I was just excited that I could finally show of with my own research I am not used to think as a buyer, since I never was or likely will be in the future.
    16. Von Malortie receives the Commanders Cross I Class of the House Order of the Golden Lion (Churhessen) 26.11.1845 This CHGL Order was renamed Wilhelmsorder in 1851. Von Malortie received the Grandcross of the House Order 05.06.1851. In my personal opinion it will be very unlikely to find any other persons with all of these 3 orders. However my research into the churhessian orders has not been completed yet, I am for 85% sure.
    17. Hi Wild Card What do your STB say on Ernst von Malortie? Could he be it?
    18. Well should it be genuine, it would be traceable just with my details on the CHWO and the Oak Crown (which I dont have)
    19. In my experience the date gives a reall hint to the why, for someone who takes the effort to really get into to detailed history but then again I am just David
    20. Hi That is great!!! I am sure Stijn will be able to give you more details, as he did the K, if I remeber correctly! regards David
    21. I am really curious what the corwn order looks like, not the ribbon, the stars aso....why: just because I dont know Thanks David
    22. Hi Mike the ON awards was from January 6th 1900. I sent you the original mail from Erik Muller again to your private mail address. BTW would his danish career record also give the data on the Chines double D order?
