    1. Hi Rick, It's "15". Sam P.S. Were'nt these type of medal bars (trapezoidal) out of style by WWI?
    2. Hi, Excellent photos. It's interesting to try and get a feel for what these men were going through/thinking at the time they were photographed. Regards, Sam P.S. Those "pork pie" hats were just awful looking. I understand they were not real popular with the troops either. Another benefit of making NCO; get a visor for your mutze
    3. Hi, I thought I'd post this interesting study of a prussian lieutenant with an EK1 and 3er spange consisting of the EK1, MVO4x, SLKVK. Regards, Sam
    4. Hi, It seems everyone was smaller back then. I've seen a Mexican colonels uniform here in Texas at the Battle of San Jacinto monument museum (Texas' War for Independence) that, as Mike said of Nicholas II, a 10 year old kid of today could easily have fit in. By the way, the uniform time period was 1830's. Photos are deceiving, I never realized that Franz Josef or Nicholas II were that small Regards, Sam
    5. Hi, Thanks to everone for their help. Rick- The SM-EVK medal is indeed an early bronze issue. I have to apologize for my less than wonderful images, but I have yet to master all today's convoluted technology. Regards, Sam
    6. Hi Rick, Medalnet, Thanks for the replys. I bought this bar off the e-stand @ WCA so you may have seen it already. below are some pics. Thanks, Sam
    7. Hi, I recently purchased an NCO/OR bar with the topic title award in the late zinc version. The other medals on the bar look fine, but on inspection of the subject award I noticed a "flaw" (for lack of a better word). My photo is not the best, but the problem is that the first "1" in the date "1914" is missing it's bottom. This is my first award of this type, so I don't know if it's ok. Perhaps someone else has seen this before or have this award with said "flaw" or perhaps it's a fake? Kind regards, Sam
