Dear JewittDan, "Do you have any photos of European copies that you’d like to share?" A genuine 4th class: A French made 4th class: A fake made in somewhere (the case seems ok) : There are copies made in both in Russia and Taiwan. Although they are sold as copies or replicas, what will the buyers do or say if they decide to resell them? Yours sincerely, No one PS: Identifying these two medals as fake on a French forum caused me a lot of problems.

Dear TracA, Unfortunatly, I don't. I can't find any documents. All I know is that the occupation of a camel driver is to direct, handle and care for camels, especially as a part of a caravan travelling long distances. He is not a "méhariste (a dromedary rider)". Yours sincerely, No one

Dear Gentlemen, Chad's Marching Regiment / Régiment de Marche du Tchad (RMT) It was created in Morocco in July 1943 from the metropolitan personnel of the Senegalese Tirailleurs Regiment of Chad (RTST) and metropolitan and European elements rallied in North Africa, under the command of Colonel Dio. From 1940 onwards, the RTST had participated in the operations led by Colonel Lerclerc in Italian Libya from Chad. After the capture of Kufra, the men present took the oath requested by Leclerc: "Swear not to lay down your arms until our colours, our beautiful colours, fly over the cathedral of Strasbourg". By decision of 17 January 1944, the Chadian Marching Regiment was proclaimed heir to the traditions of the Senegalese Tirailleurs Regiment of Chad. The Croix de Guerre with two palms and the fourragère in the colours of the Croix de Guerre are thus conferred on the flag of the Chad's Marching Regiment and was distinguished as a Companion of the Liberation. Dear Gentlemen, The Regiment of Senegalese Tirailleurs of Chad (Régiment de Tirailleurs Sénégalais du Tchad / RTST) is a French regiment created in November 1910 from the Indigenous Battalion of Chari (Bataillon Indigène du Chari / BIC). Responsible for the defence of the territory of Chad, the entire regiment rallied to Free France in 1940 and fought with Colonel Leclerc's column. The RTST remained stationed in Chad and in 1958 became the 70th Marine Infantry Regiment (70e Régiment d'Infanterie de Marine / 70th RIMa), which was finally disbanded in 1997. - Régiment de Tirailleurs Sénégalais du Tchad Drago Paris (silver) homologué H 313 in 1947 Drago Paris: - 70e Régiment d'Infanterie de Marine type I "TCHAD" homologué H 313 Drago Paris: - 70e Régiment d'Infanterie de Marine type II homologué G 2860 in 1980 Drago Paris: Yours sincerely, No one
