    1. All orders bestowed by the Central Chancellery (The Department who record and compile lists for nominations, acceptances and awards, does keep records, but they sadly do not divulge this information. I have tried more than once to be rebuked. On a different vein, they are very helpful in clarifying the honours and awards system when you pose questions. Sorry I cannot be more help.
    2. Thanks Tony, I have looked through various books on the matter of post war British Military badges, and, in fact, I wore the star as a qualified B3, B2, B1 driver myself in the 90s. I never saw an encircled drivers badge, but I have read about one. My memory fails me as to where I read it, but it was discontinued shortly after introduction. Why, I cannot remember and so I am vexed by this oddity! Even the various posters that were once rather popular do not give a hint as to what it could be. As you also say, wearing badges is and was strictly controlled, back then even more so, so it has to be an official period qualification badge. Frustrating.
    3. The Royal Victorian Order and medals have always been bestowed upon those involved in state funerals of Monarchs. In fact, at the funeral of Prince Philip, these were also bestowed upon those involved. The RVO is a gift from the Monarch to those they feel should be honoured. A long time ago, when I was posted to HQ London District, my room mate, a mad chap from Belfast, was so honoured by Her late Majesty, The Queen, for impromptu linguistic services to the Royal Household. His mother is/was from Greenland and he helped in an awkward moment. Little did I know that he spoke 6 languages (and coming from Belfast, I was not sure English was one of them)... https://www.forces.net/news/military-personnel-honoured-following-prince-philips-funeral
    4. Hello all, new here and diving in with the first question... The driver of the FLT is a Ordnance Corps Cpl under command of HQ Land. He is a driver qualified tradesman, but the badge, the star for driver trade, is within a circle. None of the literature I have at hand identifies this badge and I assume he is an Instructor MT. Has anyone seen this and can offer positive ID please.
