This one dropped in today.....Hessental/Schreiber have written there's a variation with the wrong obverse stamp(from the combatant models).So-the reverse should be the same? Have a look at this one-it looks like the reverse stamp is also different.I'm a bit unsure now what to do.....it's definitely not a casted copy nor a galvano. For comparison the "regular" one at the right. Micha
Nr4-2nd class with oaks last model(1916-1918) silver gilted in matching case, maker marked "W" at the 6 o'clock crossarm.Unfortunately with a heavy chip!
No new EKs in sight......so I had to take this one home.Cased and in good condition-my first golden merit cross! Nothing spectacular but good enough to fill the summer hole. Micha
Some pics for you ,Eric! after looking at your wonderful pieces I thought it's time to come back with an unusual set from my collection.I apologise for showing these old pictures again, but I haven't made any others. Micha
That's an interesting combination! The cross is a nice piece from the "CD800" family (same core design)with an unusual washer. This one can also be find with the "square" punch! The case is hard to judge-I can't tell it was made for this cross,it could also be a modified one for a clock-but I think it doesn't matter! Nice set. Micha
Another goodie from your collection-the "CD800" is a dream(notice the standing hinge),but the case....the case(unfortunatelly in bad shape) is a dream! One of the few real good private purchased patriotic ones! Well done........... Micha
