    1. So.....next is the "800" fellow with the relationship to CD.Strange thing-I don't have the common core type I but the type II! It shows the "800" boxed!from what I can see now it's absolutely possible that we have all variations with both core types(except the CD800!!)A long way to the top as my dead friend Bon would say.... Micha
    2. And the maker mark.Unfortunately i don't have a core type II example of this variation!
    3. Not very interesting,eh? No mercy.......here's a common one-maker marked "square" with double screw and core type I.
    4. Yes,it's a hard live. Many, many moons ago I had a dream-a shiny little dwarf told me about a CD 2nd class.Stamped with a 935 at the ribbon ring.Frightened,eh? Washing machines are corresponding with a parallel universe(where all the lost socks are)are quite common these days, but a dwarf talking about an unknown CD 2nd class.....I went out of my bed, took me a beer and then I walked to my 2nd class display.Yes.....the dwarf spoke truth.there it was. Never noticed it......Now let us go back to the present.(No more dwarfs,I promise!).I made it.No 1st class CD 935,but a flat one, typical pin of the square/800-2nd core type!! Never seen another one.The condition is not the way I like it....anyway-do I have to search for a single/double screw marked 935? And I can hear him gloatingly laughing-the good of imperial iron crosses collecting!
    5. As the experienced EK collector knows the "regular" "800" is simply punched in.Here we've got an 800 in a box.So have I found a new, unknown part of the Carl Dillenius family? To me this one is new(or may be I was simply to ignorant...)The following EK is the 2nd core type "square"-I've never noticed this one until Mike has put me with my nose on it Not in the condition I normally like my crosses...but hey-they don't grow on trees.I should have to look in a parallel universe.......
    6. Well, here's the reverse...I'm still thinking about socks in washing machines.....
    7. Well-this is not easy to explain for me as English is not my mother language.Anyway-the trouble began earlier this week when I shot a nice, damned overpriced 1st class pinback with a "800" on the reverse.I was sure that I had identified the core as the really not common 2nd core type "square".I was right. But as we know there's always a but-the hinge and the little peace of silver underneath are not matching the "common" squares and 800.....do you know the theory about socks, washing machines and a parallel universe? Here are the pics....
    8. Leather washers are not so uncommon.I've seen a few Eks with a piece of leather the last few years. Also pieces of uniform material or cardboard can be found. Micha
    9. Nice cross-for me the attachment parts are old replacements. Micha
    10. avadski-here it is what you have been looking for.... http://www.rheinland-orden.com/shop/shop_content.php?coID=9 Micha
    11. And another one to go..... Great piece! Full score! Micha
    12. And another one(not new,not in the condition I like my Eks but also with a Hansen core... Micha
    13. This one I shot today at a local show(Flohnheim). No markings but the core is the same type Hansen has used! Nothing spectacular but I like it. Micha
    14. Not easy....I like it,too!I haven't seen this kind of screw before. The core pictures could be a bitbetter but it looks abit like one of these? Micha

    16. This one dropped in today-it looks like this guy had taken part 1848 as a combatant but in the '66 and '71 wars he's done his duty without fighting. Not a bargain, but medal bars like this I have to take...... Micha
