    1. Hi everyone, I got a week ago two new medal bars for my very small collection. Nothing interesting at all but again, I would like to share pictures and ask, am I correct to read them? Also I got lots of very great info here on gmic last months and I like to ask from medal bars "gurus" (Rick, Ulsterman, Claudio, saschaw,Deruelle, HeikoGustard, Chris Boonzaier, Dave Danner, Motorhead, Ed Hayens and etc) from where, "greenhorn" like I am, can start studying regarding medal bars and imperial Germany awarding regulations? I had spent last months some money for a books, etc but i like to start much more organised. Can you guys recommend some books or web based resources? I had studyed here almost every threat about medal bars and ribbon bars but like I said, I like to start built up my knowledge step by step from 0. I would be very greatfull if you can give me some advise! If someone have list of books and materials, what I need to buy for a starting, please send me a pm. Ok, here is my medal bars: First one is very strange, probably home made (look at this ribbons how they are wrapped in there ) medal bar. Is it Bavaria (because the Bavaria LS medal) or the Prussian (I know that the EK2 is main award in the Germany and also is there the War merit Cross)? Any toughts would be nice Next one is nice one, what I like much more! Am I right: Its definetly Saxony NCO, who owned that bar. Because the FAM is silver (hard to understand on scan), he was NCO already during the IWW. Also he was on the front line because EK2 and FAM is bravery awards and Hindi is with swords. He served before the war already because the 15 years Saxony Long Service Cross (double years for a war period until 1920s when Germany army desarmed?). And he was still active civil service during the TR early period because 25 years Faithfull Service Cross. He was probably wounded because there is not any another NCO awards? Please help me with "medal bar readings" (and sorry about English mistakes when here is but I will learn this "weird" language as well all the time ). Thank you very much who can find time for answer! Noor
    2. Hi all, My russian language skills are going down fast . I got some documents (almost 200 pages) what I think are awards regulations from 1916. I made picture of the first page. Am I right what those documents are?
    3. Thanks Heiko! I dont like bar nr. 2 as well and I got as repro (but wish to get something similar there is no doubts). Same time the ribbons themself look good. Ribbon bar nr. 1..... actually I am 75% sure that its fine... just not in proper order.
    4. Thanks Rick for your answer! Any chance to get some extra info about ribbon bar nr.2 ? What kingdom was the owner from?
    5. Ex owner (I think member here as well) told me that blacklight test is done and ribbons are fine.
    6. And what about this (repro?) ribbon bar? I think the ribbons are not in order here as well? What would be the right order here?
    7. Thanks Rick! I must say, I am a little bit disappointed now regarding this ribbon bar. I just hope all those changes are period made. Do I leave it as it is or should I move the Hamburg cross to the right place? I think I leave it, as it is. Here is the back:
    8. Today I got one small ribbon bar. Please take a look and any info would be great! Is it Lippe-Detmold NCO who got it? As I understand the second ribbon is War Merit Cross but what is the third one? Honor Cross or Military Merit Medal? Also the last one I think is Hamburg Cross, please confirm my thoughts.
    9. Its look very bad quality on the picture . But same time owner said that its the groundfind and he just like to know, what it is .
    10. Sorry about the bad pictures but can someone tell me what cross is on there? To me its look like a bad quality some 25 years long service award.... firefighters? some sport club? etc? Any info would be great! Thank you, Noor
    11. Thanks Rick for all your information! Who is Tom Y? Not from him
    12. Lightly damaged and its very dark picture but looks like high rank officers on it
    13. Hi all, I managed to get some extra pictures today and would like to get some extra info. I will post more pictures up coming days but first those three. Maybe you can recognise some of them? Group of officers
    14. II. Prussia medal bar 1. EK 2 2. Order of the Z?hringen Lion Knight 2nd Class with oaks and swords 3. Hindenburg Cross with X 4. Landwher XX Long Service Cross Again, I understand this one like this: Prussian junior officer (BZ), who served some Landwher unit already before the Great war (20 year LS award). Fought in the IWW frontline (EK2, BZ, Hindi with X). Survived the war (Hindenburg with X). But why Order of the Z?hringen Lion? Am I wrong and he was Baden native, who fought in Prussia unit?
    15. I post here two my new medal bars and would like to try to understand them more. Any info would be great! I. Prussia medal bar 1. Prussia Order of the Crown 4th Class 2. Prussia War service Cross (war aid?) 3. Prussia 15 year service cross 4. Wilhelm I Centennial medal As far I understand, ovner of that medal bar was Prussian native, who was in service 1897(Wilhelm I Centennial medal). IWW time mobilized again (15 Year Service cross) and served behind front (War Service Cross). He was junior officer (Order of the Crown 4th Class).
