The Grand Order of the Star and Eagles of Ghana The Order of the Star and Eagles of Ghana created by President John Kufour in 23 June 2008. This order becames the highest national decoration. There was significant criticism to the Order's creation. Some suggested it was inappropriate for such an Order with such limited members to be the highest in the land. This badge awarded for contributions to defence, army, aviation and navy. There are 9 awards with different portraits on the central medallions.
