Hi friends, Please help with this. I am owner of a special side cap, it look like a common hat but the flaps could be protective to the ears. Someone told me that this type of equipment was used in arktic conditions by ?ships and u-boats. It's very much a ordinary hat burt really smart solution if its really cold. Inside the hat is an M and the year 1939 with black ink. Svante http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/sv...47128717_11.jpg
Dear friends, For some times ago I bought a sidehat with "flaps" who can protect the ears. The sidehat is very like the common type but the flaps are there. Inside is a stamp M (kriegsmarine) and the year 1939. I have talk to some people but none has a clue, someone belive that the hat came from the North Atlantic fleet or ships and boats who operated in tha area. The hat looks authentic and well used. Comments??? Svante http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w197/sv...47128717_11.jpg
