    1. I think that we will have to change our typology of this order. The first model were showed already, but I will show it later again. This is second model, first type with 5 torches made from silvered tombac without hallmarks. Three other types are well known as described by Bryan in first posting in this thread. Here are images:
    2. I'm not expert, that's why I'm asking. Your remarks are very valuable and they were not that negative as you maybe thought. Thank you. w
    3. early pieces have no hallmarks, you can see here one example of such decoration: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2646...t=0#entry249998 I saw Spomenica with number 37xx without hallmarks, but in parallel there are Spomenica Nr. 312x already with 'BK' hallmark. Hallmark 'GK' you will find on Spomenica with numbers 8xxx. Your 3000 series spomenica without hallmarks belongs to early version as shown in link above.
    4. ?arko Zrenjanin (Serbian Cyrillic: Жарко Зрењанин; Izbi?te, 1902- 1942) was a partisan national hero of Yugoslavia. The city of Zrenjanin, in Serbia, is named after him, since 1946. Zrenjanin was a leader of the Vojvodina Communists and wartime Partisans, who endured torture and months of incarceration by the Nazis during the Second World War. He was released and later killed while trying to escape recapture. There was a medal ''Zarko Zrenjanin', any Information on this medal?

    7. Awards for civil merits, are in a large percentage (around 99%) given for multi-year work and results, and very little for individual acts, labor and other achievements. Mass granting of awards in post-war years (1945-1950) influenced the granting of awards for war merits by the granting of awards for merits for shock workers on the reconstruction of the country. At that time, a moral recognition, especially awards, were a significant stimulus for commitment and work achievements. Later (especially 1961-1964) higher awards has been assigned for war and civil merits on the occasion of the 20 anniversary of the uprising and the great battles and other events from national liberation war. The count of granted orders and their structure, ie, whether there was more orders (and which class) or more medals in certain periods depends, on the limitation of budget funds planned for the awards.
    8. Thank you for your comments. I know that there is such opinion. Facts: This order has been made first by ZIN/ZNB and later by IKOM. The question is when started production of this order in IKOM? 1. Should IKOM produce this order prior 1952, than they had to provide serial number, since it was required for certificate. At that time serial number still were written on 'Uverenje'. 2. Only in case that the production by IKOM after 1952 started - you be be right; otherwise not. This is the question: when production of this order started in IKOM? waldemar
    9. Awarding criteria for Order for Bravery are here in this thread: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=3580...rt=#entry334228 As far I know, during the WWII and shortly after the war the awards has been granted upon individual merits. You will find sometime even short description written manually on awarding document. Till 1964 the granting of the 'war awards' for war merits has been completed. With the time granting of awards took place during important state or personal events like birthday of awarder or anniversary of creation of JNA at 22.12.1941, ... waldemar
    10. Dear Gents, I want to present you one chapter from a book about communist YU awards and ask you your opinion about typology. It is still not clear to me. 1. At the beginning all orders had a serial number, it was necessary at that time since serial number were put on 'Uverenje' till app. 1952. 2. Last Order made by IKOM have no serial number. 3. It means that there were orders with serial number which has been made by IKOM and ZIN/ZNB. How to discover what order were made by IKOM and other be ZIN/ZNB? Are serial number characteristic for each manufacturer and waht maker had used what serial art? I think that point 1 and 2 are facts. But I'm still not sure about point 3. What is your opinion? waldemar
