It was not just individuals or British Lodges that contributed to the building of Grand Lodge in Great Queen Street. A large donation was forthcoming from India. One of the temples in the basement is the Iandian Room....much indian wood, and elephants everywhere. Whilst IG some years ago, I blessed meeting there. There are 18 steps up and down from the entrance door, the weather was foul, and Brethren kept arriving late. Each time, there was a report, and I had to do the 18 stairs twice each time. I got to love those stairs! Bruce
