    1. Thank you Mike, here is my picture.... german unit with eight (8!!!) of these guns !!!
    2. Chris , can you give me the exact name of the baby in post N°3 please.... I have a postcard of a german unit with some of these but I don`t think it is a german one , or... ? thank you Heiko
    3. The ribbons are folded in the way we call "south style" , normally worn by bavarian soldiers , sometimes by Württemberg soldiers too.... the bar itself , especially the reverse , looks like a Württemberg bar... so the mounting order would make sense for a Württemberg soldier who wants his home country award first , even if it is only a DA....
    4. AAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ................ ok , so Leibgrenadiere had a crown , my mistake.... :banger:
    5. Hi Douglas, on the group picture the man sitting on the chair looks like Mr.Adolf Hitler......... make a google picture search with " Hitler als Soldat " ..... really really close maybe.... he was in a bavarian unit too.... greetings Heiko
    6. Hello all, here is a picture I got today from an officer of 1.Baden Leib-Grenadier Regiment 109 - you can clearly see the 109 on the shoulderboard. He is wearing the iron cross 1.class and a 3-place ribbon bar.... now the thing gets a bit fuzzy.... N°1 on the ribbon bar should be the iron cross 2.class even if the stripes are a bit small , but he has the first class - he must have had the second too..... he is from a Baden Regiment and a officer so N°2 with the Baden colours yellow-red-yellow should be the Militärischer Karl-Friedrich Verdienstorden , rare enough , BUT ......... I have never seen a miniature device for that one during the war on a ribbon bar !!!! N°3 with the wide swords maybe a Baden Zähringer Löwe but not good to see.... now it`s your part....... any comments are welcome !!! SASCHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!! if you need any more details please let me know... thank you Heiko
    7. thank you very much SPM , maybe someone else has another idea but I think this is the medal that makes the most sense...
    8. Can anyone clearly see what these medals are? Should be all three the same... maybe Württemberg DA ? photo is made in Ulm , if you need any uniform details please let me know... all help is welcome. thank you Heiko
    9. Hello all , I am pretty shure that we have seen this photo or at least a photo with the same man here before... I can`t find it with the search functions but maybe someone remembers it because I am pretty shure again that we had a name for this man.... he wears a medal bar with 1870 sword clasp SEHO-medal and a 70/71 medal with 6 battle clasps - photo is made in Schlüchtern Maybe I am wrong... then sorry for disturbing you on new years day but if I am right I want this name that I cannot find.... thank you Heiko
    10. Thanks to all of you for the great work on this photo !!! Mr.Harnisch and I wish you all a happy new year !!!
    11. Good morning you two...and a happy new year Hardy I would say that this cross because of it`s style and the writing should more fit in the time period after the 1870er war.... or? the rest of course is 110% right :D
    12. Wow.... a very good discussion with a lot of information - thanks to all !!! here is the shoulder board in closeup...
    13. it should be Kalahari 1908 of course... No , unfortunately there is no name or anything else written on the reverse... no more info :(
    14. Especially for my french saxon friend Christophe - the next saxon superhero !!! photo is made in Sachsen-Anhalt....
    15. One small thing I had forgotten.... on the reverse is written "1909" , so it is a "middle award" from 1903-1918 ;)
    16. Thanks SPM and Kapitular for your very positive opinions makes me happy !!! Sascha , exactly that`s it.... I use the old Nimmergut and the ribbon shown there confused me... Ah, and SPM...... : Great bar !!! Thanks to all Heiko
